I'm personally gonna be pissed if we let Vontae go. Our secondary will be terrible.

His performance isn't worth $10 MIL a year. Throw in the fact he has a history for being enigmatic and giving inconsistent effort and I'm good with Grigson taking a pass. Sucks to lose the 2nd rounder for a 2-year rental but that is a sunk cost. No need to make the problem worse with a potentially crippling contract two years before they need to sign Andrew Luck.

CB market is stupid this year. Maybe an effect of the big jump in the salary cap? Doesn't help that Rex Ryan is looking for a new cover corner and he has been known to overpay and overpay often. Rumors seem to indicate this is where Davis will end up.

The Colts might be better off upgrading the Safety position and trying to pick up a a Vet corner on a short term deal in 5 MIL range. I'd consider paying Revis more if the $$ and structure of the deal were right but there is something wrong when the best corner in the league gets passed around like a dirty book.

Odds of drafting a CB is this years draft just went way up.

I'm with you, however I think we will address the CB issue in free agency, doubt e have a 2nd round corner starting for us this year, unless on of the first round talent guys were to slip all the way to the end of the 2nd it most likely won't happen. Could have ended all of this if we would have went corner in the first last year... Really thought we would grab Xavier Rhodes, I think he will really be good this year.

On a sidenote, wouldn't be surprised if we sign Hakeem Nicks over Decker....

Oh yeah if we don't get a Safety in Free Agency Lamarcus Joyner would be an interesting option, he might not be as good against some of these taller WR's but he definitely makes plays and has good coverage skills.

Reported Colts will sign Arthur Jones DL Baltimore. No firm cap numbers yet but looks like 5.5 to 6 MIL per year give or take.

Know very little about him but PFF grades him out well against the run and looks like he can bring a little interior pressure on passing downs. Don't see it happening but could allow the Colts to cut RFJ for Cap Space if they think Redding can play at a high level for another season.

Arthur Jones is one of the best 3-4 DEs in the league. With DQ and Jones the run D just became pretty stellar.

I hope we go after Revis. He's perfect in Pagano's press system.

I still hope we don't go after Revis unless he is willing to restructure his contract 16 mill is way too much, and there are teams talking about trading for him so...

I just wish we'd see more activity on the O-line front. So far we've thrown money at Vinatieri and a lot of defense, with likely more in the form of Vontae. They've also expressed interest in WR. When do we see the real OL help?
There are two types of quarterbacks in the league: Those whom over time, the league figures out ... and those who figure out the league.

They might be targeting the draft to address the OL. Who knows?

Unless they're going to make a run at Mack who got the transition tag already, there aren't really any quality interior linemen on the market. Maybe they'll surprise, but it seems likely that most of the ones that are out there won't get snapped up immediately. I haven't heard any news about any of them so far today even though tons of teams need OL help.

I can't see them going with a rookie center to start the season. And the other current option, Khaled Holmes, barely got on the field last year. I'm expecting them to sign a veteran center.

I realize that, but that sort of scares me. You can draft guys, but they likely need time and development, and we really can't afford to lose our QB or RB because of that. Was sorta hopin' they'd get at least a few vets.

I do too. I see they targeted D'Qwell early in FA, now they are taking care of the guys they want to re-sign, and will watch and see how the market shakes out before doling out a premium contract for a center.

To be fair I haven't heard any team going after any linemen besides the LTs. Nothing about Dietrich-Smith or De La Puenta.

Solid solid signing here. i really like Jones as our DE opposite Redding, and our DT on passing downs. Too bad we don't have a good NT or we would be sitting pretty along our DL

$6m for one of the best at the position is a big time steal.

I know NFL contracts are funky and it could really be a 2 year deal or whatever, but Bethea apparently got 4 years/26 mil from SF. That's a whole lotta money.
