    Ouch.
There are two types of quarterbacks in the league: Those whom over time, the league figures out ... and those who figure out the league.

Get it done, we would have to pay the same or more to get someone even close to as good as him. I think he is still improving as well. He has the potential to be a top 10, possibly top 5 CB. Can't let him get away.

    RB Rashard Mendenhall to retire

Teams have been told that Arizona Cardinals free-agent running back Rashard Mendenhall is retiring, according to sources.

Mendenhall hinted at as much in a Feb. 25 column he wrote for the Huffington Post when he said, "As I write this, today is the day that the journey is over and I am fully at peace. Eagerly looking to a new way, which lies ahead."

The 26-year-old Mendenhall was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first round of the 2008 draft. In six NFL seasons, Mendenhall rushed for 4,236 yards and scored 39 total touchdowns.

After last season ended, Mendenhall told Cardinals coach Bruce Arians he wanted to write books and do different things than play football. And so, after rushing for 687 yards and scoring eight touchdowns last season, Mendenhall now believes he has played his last NFL down.

There really isn't a better option than Bethea right now. I'm not a fan of him either anymore but we may have to bite the bullet and keep him around a couple more years until we get a better player.
There are much better options, not to mention that he is trying to get top dollar money, first his is getting slow, 2nd he is a horrible fit next to Landry, 3rd we would have to has gradually gotten worst over the years. I think there is zero chance we sign him back.

I'd be interested if it were a 1 yr deal.
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

CB Vontae Davis currently is expected to sign a contract on Tuesday -- but not with the Colts. Not over yet though.

Welp im going to be really annoyed if Grigs let's him walk not many corners that fit our scheme like Vontae does

I'd rather let him walk than give him the top tier money he's not worth, so I'd get it. But man I don't like trading a 2nd rounder for two years of a guy.

I agree it feels short sighted to give away these draft picks. I mean Andrew Luck is young we need to build for the future too.

re-signed Moala. probably another cheap one year deal I assume, he's an OK depth guy

TB is prepared to release Revis if nobody is willing to trade for his contract. If he could be had for cheap (6th or 7th round pick) should the Colts look into it? He's absurdly expensive (16 million a year), but I think he might fit with the Colts for a few reasons. First, he fits the man scheme of the Colts so well. Second, the Colts need secondary help.

The third is how the money shakes out. The Colts need to spend money this offseason, but they also need to leave lots of flexibility open for two years from now when many of their rookie deals come due. Revis with no guaranteed money in his contract can be cut at any time with no cap penalties. He's a great stopgap-a great player that can soak up lots of capspace now and doesn't have to later when the Colts need it.

enough do, no point in overpaying an inconsistent player 10 mill a year, but yeah sucks it did not turn out as we'd hoped.

only trade for him if you are getting picks back and he is willing to restructure.

Colts and DE Arthur Jones have mutual interest in each other, played for Chuck in Baltimore, and shaved his head when Chuck had leukemia. Sign him Grigs! He's one of the top DE's and will probably have a high price tag as well, likely 7+ million per year
