    Well... Damn...
Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

Lol, I was thinking the same thing. 2014 needs to go die in a fire. What an awful year.

Well Werner, for the Colts to compete with the Broncos we are going to need him to step up, I would start looking at the rookie Jonathan Newsome too, he has good explosiveness and could be a good pass rusher. Our pass rush was a little better in the 2nd half last night.

He'll probably never be the same. This could be the career ender at his age.

I thought the same about Wilfork, but he came back.
The poster "pacertom" since this forum began (and before!). I changed my name here to "Slick Pinkham" in honor of the imaginary player That Bobby "Slick" Leonard picked late in the 1971 ABA draft (true story!)

Mathis won't have HGH with the new drug rules though. I assume that every player smartly used HGH to recover from injuries when they weren't testing for it.

Freeman also hurt his hamstring last night. Two of our top three defensive players are now hurt. Hopefully the Freeman thing doesn't linger and he can recover quickly. He's our best cover LB by a mile and we'll need him against Philly.

    I read this on pubmed.gov
Anabolic steroid use paralleled with exercise may lead to dysplasia of collagen fibrils, which can decrease the tensile strength of tendon.
I've never been to the site before so I'm not sure how credible it is. I have heard that steroids do weaken the tendons though. It really makes you wonder if Robert was using the Clomid to mask something.

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/1997802/

I'm not accusing him in any way, a couple other guys sustained the same injury this weekend. I'm just thinking out loud.

That is an academically published review on anabolic steroids effect on tendons. In other words, it is about as credible as you can get. It is fairly old, though.

I've read comments on various sites that said if he was allowed to work out at the team facility during his suspension this wouldn't have happened. He's been a professional athlete for enough years I think he knows how to work out and not hurt himself.

On the field I don't know if its really going to make too much of a difference I mean he's getting up there in age anyways and while he our best defensive player the Colts can survive losing him(Luck not so much)

However his presence and leadership in the locker room though will be missed.

I also think this is the last we've seen of Robert in a Colts uniform anyways.

As for it being old, some things are cut & dry. Someone figured out that water was wet a long time ago. That hasn't changed over the years.

And are there really still people out there that are buying into the fertility thing and all ??

I've always been skeptical, but tried to give me the benefit of the doubt.

I hope Grigson doesn't panic and trade another high round draft choice for a pass rusher. Sad thing is, I can totally see him doing so.

Jerry Hughes or Caesar Rayford wouldn't be too bad about now. I saw video of Hughes acting like an idiot yelling at his coach and Rayford hasn't done anything in Dallas, but both would have chances to be productive. Who did we trade them for again?
