    Default Week 1: @ Broncos

Going to be tough for the Colts to go to Denver anyways and now not having Mathis on the pass rush will hurt. I think it will be a close game throughout, but I have Denver winning 31-21.

I think we'll get smoked and people will overreact way too much.

    I will probably overreact too.

Luck typically beats the elite teams when the Colts are underdogs. Colts 31 Denver 27
If turner beats out hill and mahinmi in camp then fine, but odds of that happening are slim.

I can see how this could get out of hand for us if we cannot get pressure on Peyton. Thankfully, I think we have the firepower to keep up with Peyton. We just need our offensive line and Richardson to step up and be able to move the ball on the ground. If we can control the clock with methodical drives running the ball I think we will be in good shape. The problem is we have not seen anything from the running game yet.

The Star used to have such top notch Colts coverage. Chappy was the best.

I don't know what to expect with this game. Peyton will be hellbent on doing everything in his power to not drop to 0-2 against his former team. Plus he won't have the distractions of returning to Indy this go around. Perhaps most importantly, there won't be any Mathis to disrupt him like last year. I think it's pretty certain that Denver will put up quite a few points. We're going to need Luck and the offense to keep up with them. Nothing that Luck does surprises me anymore, but I don't think we'll win this one.

    Denver 34, Colts 24.

We won't have Welker to contend with:

Broncos receiver Wes Welker has been suspended for the first four games of the season for violating the NFL’s policy against performance-enhancing drugs.

According to multiple reports, Welker tested positive for a banned amphetamine.

I think the Colts are for real. 31-23 win proves it. The rest of the league goes "Hmmmmm...."

Everyone picking Denver to blow us out seems too predictable and we tend to beat Denver

I do think we'll lose to the Eagles the following week.

Welker won't be much of a loss to the Broncos.

At least the hype for this game is far less obnoxious that's a relief.

It's predictable because it's probably true. We have no offensive line or running game and I don't know what the hell our secondary is going to do against their passing game. I think we're better than most in the AFC but the week 1 gap between these 2 teams is too large

I am confident in one thing and one thing only about this game: Denver will score 30+ points against us. I think we can win, but it really depends on how long Pep decides to keep up this charade of power running and all that ****. Denver could easily hop up 14 or 21-0 on us before we have no other choice than to unleash Luck. I don't have a good handle on this Colts team. I don't particularly like our coaching staff, I don't particularly like our GM, Irsay is a clown...really, Andrew Luck is the great equalizer here.

    This.

I don't wanna see heavy running formations once again, trail in the game, then see Luck taking over. Why keep putting him in that place all the time? Take advantage of your supremely talented QB.

I mean seriously, I don't wanna hear Pagano saying power run and that **** anymore. It's 2014 ffs! It has been a pass happy, pass dominant league for many years now.

I got no idea on this game.... and honestly, neither does anyone else. I could see a blowout from either team... I could see a close game. About the only thing I feel comfortable saying is that if this game is close at the end, I think Luck will pull us through.

There are two types of quarterbacks in the league: Those whom over time, the league figures out ... and those who figure out the league.

Denver lost to the colts last year and played poorly in the SB so they should have an edge. If the colts have a ghost of a running game I think we win.

If it gets that bad we should be glad Jimbo is banned from Twitter for the next 6 games.

That is a good thing. It was pretty obvious he was not thinking straight and it was embarrassing.
