Maybe I'm misinterpreting you guys' reaction to this all, then. To me, the vibe from the team is about what I would have expected. I think it would be weirder if they WERE hyped up about it. Bynum has a lot to prove based on his history.
I mean if it were a move that they thought would legitimately make the team better and improve their chances, I would think they would smile or at least compliment the guy with the usual, "he's a great player, he will help us a lot" tropes. But their reactions have been a little more muted. I'm not worried about it or trying to make it a big deal, just pointing it out. I don't really think it will be a problem.

They might be handling this the way they need to. Bynum will have to prove at the outset that he deserves to be on this team.

It really was a crime the way we didn't abuse the West/Pierce matchup on offense. I hate when big teams let small teams off the hook for that.

PG did compliment him in that interview that I saw.

The way Ian has been playing over the past month Bynum will not have to do much to be an upgrade.

This team hasn't played good basketball for 2 weeks now. I don't think that's being unfair or pessimistic. They just aren't playing good basketball.

We need scoring BAD from our bench. The team should not be resisting help in that department.

Yeah, it's absolutely true. I'll try to be positive: It's impressive that even when they are playing like ****, they found a way to win this game. Especially considering they committed a season high 24 turnovers.

It's not like we didn't try though; Brooklyn approached that matchup the way the Heat approach that mismatch. I'm not sure where to find the breakdown of our 24 turnovers, but I remember at least a few being attempts to pass inside. No one other than Lance (who still managed four turnovers) can feed the post or pass over the top with good consistency. There was a play (in the third maybe) where Roy slipped the screen on a PnR with Hill, and GH didn't even try to pass over to Hibbert. Which was a good call, since it would probably have been a turnover. Again, I need to check the stats, but our PnRs are many times ineffective, which hurts ball movement and spacing, decreasing the chances of players exploiting their matchup advantages. That's definitely not good.

Edit: In fact, the only good passer tonight was West himself with seven assists and one turnover.

To me, it could have been handled a lot better. Better spacing, better passing, more attempts to do it or at least exploit the defense for denying it better. Drove me nuts when West was standing 20+ feet from the basket on offense when he'd catch the ball. Or when we'd post Roy on KG instead of West on Pierce. With that kind of a mismatch, forget Roy on KG.

Most of those turnovers were caused by us playing cute or trying to make SportsCenter Top 10 play. **** that ****, that aint us, we gotta get back to the "wear em down and knock their asses out" philosophy.

Brooklyn IS better than where they were a month ago, but that is the WORST rebounding team I've ever seen. We play better D on Livingston and thats a 20 point blowout.

Ironically, Scola's purposeful turnover sealed the deal for the Pacers.

Was that officially scored a turnover?

I would seriously doubt it should have been.

I know it can be a bit basic at times, but we really need to get back to the Hill/West PnR more often. Hill should handle the ball a little more, and we need to establish West a lil more.

    PG is totally getting fined.

Even after the win, #Pacers locker room seemed a bit lethargic. Paul George still clearly bothered by what he feels are constant no calls...

Nah I don't think so, but if it was, it was the most baller turnover ever. I loved that whole exchange. Scola calmly throwing it off of Pierce's ***, it taking Pierce a beat or two to realize what hit him, then frantically trying to pick the ball up and heave it downcourt as Scola walks by and just looks at him, calm as ever. #goingfarder
