Sure the numbers are respectable, but in reality he did get "Owned" because with Scola picking up his 4th foul with 5 minutes left in the 3rd, Clippers were threatening, and the Pacers having to switch to Granger, who is coming back from injury....well a top 5 PF should be FEASTING on that Situation. But Griffin failed so horribly on the offensive end that Coach Rivers went small after only a few minutes and put in all his shooters to try and get some sort offense. It was a key moment in the game and he got Owned.
Fair enough. He had, what, 4pts in the second half?
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

After Paul's second shot, I told my wife he was going to have a big game. I could just tell that shot was on tonight. If he gets consistent with that, we are talking Kobe level.

You don't want Kobe.. You want Dirk esque efficiency lol.. Kobe just makes some ridiculous shots that are more memorable.
Anyhow, The Pacers have recorded 20 wins this season by double digits. Those 20 wins are greater than or equal to the TOTAL wins for 20 of the 30 teams in the NBA. It's greater than or equal to all but one other East team: the Heat, who have 29 wins. And greater than or equal to 7 of the 15 teams in the West.

    By me ^^

Nobody, unless they're significantly bigger, is going to totally overpower Granger. He's a bad dude just as tough as West.
I don't know if Granger can get as ornery as West at times, but I agree that he is just as tough in approaching his responsibilities. I actually like Granger offensively in the post as a PF or SF either one. He has a lot of finesse in finding and getting off a shot near the basket. Defensively, as many have stated, he can hold his own in the post. I wish there were a way to keep him beyond this year. Being able to play a wing position or the PF position makes him extremely versatile.

Danny Granger is exactly what this team needed to help it win a championship.
    And Scola and Watson.

I've thought for a long, long time that Granger would make a good PF. He's able to block shots, rebound and he's a strong guy. I know it takes a toll on the body because of the constant banging. But he can do it well for stretches and he showed that tonight.
Not sure about the rebounding. But he can do everything else. I've never thought of Danny as a guy who crashes the boards, but then again he has always been the guy taking the shots. But definitely has enough strength and length to play the position much like a David West. But I think it would be a huge change for him to make that adjustment. Danny just isn't used to running down the court and setting up on the Block.

I've often thought that as Danny gets older he might develop more of a post up game or become a stretch 4. Because in a couple years he will definitely be too slow to guard on the wing. But he should always have the strength and wingspan to guard PF's. Wish he could do this for the Pacers going forward, but this will most likely be his last year with the team.

I wish the NBA would rethink this policy of not showing replays of flagrant fouls to the live audience. I didn't see what justified West getting ejected live, and was stunned when he got booted in the first place. All I saw was Barnes wrapping him up.

Griffin is an overrated ***** though.

I get their reasoning, don't wanna rile up people and all. But West 100% deserved to get tossed.

Yeah, I mean last year's squad was obviously a very good team. But to think that we've added Granger/Scola/CJ to the club while Lance and PG have exploded, and well..... I guess the 32-7 record makes sense.

We just have such a swag to us now. We fully expect to drill everyone.

Im not saying it wasn't deserved now that I've gotten to see a replay, I'm just saying that would be nice to have seen a replay at the time so that the arena doesn't almost riot when West got tossed.

And Blake Griffin is still an overrated *****.

Agreed. Griffin is very much overrated. He's not quite the Gerald Green of PF's, but he doesn't scare me. Aldridge is the man that should concern us.

So we are now 10-2 against the big scary Western Conference, that is a winning percent of 83 which is interestingly higher than our 81 percent (22-5) clip we are posting against the East right now.

    And on serious note:

    ‏@nbastats

Tonight Paul George became the first Pacer to post 35+ pts with 5+ 3PM on 70+% FG since Reggie Miller on 12/4/96.

Also, Deadspin has "Good ole JR'd" the dunk as well:

    Also unrelated note,

FSI didn't happen to show Lance's reaction after his waved off buzzer beater 3 at the end of the third by chance did they? He might be getting a sizeable fine if they did..... I was surprised his gesture didn't get him T'd up and ejected.

Made a gesture involving his nether regions, presumably directed towards the refs.

They showed that, but I thought he was signaling that the shot was good, not making a gesture at his "nether region". It did look that way though.
