I said it in the game thread, and it may be hyperbole but I think if Danny Granger is healthy from the get go this team could have made a serious, serious run at 70 wins.
I agree but - they still very well might. They're on pace for about 67-68 right now.

Oh about the only thing I don't like is how Denari sells out for Fox Sports 1 by always saying any crazy play is "The One". It would be fine if Fox Sports had even a tenth of the popularity of ESPN, but I think it hurts them overall to not hear their commentary on ESPN and whatnot. Even NBA on Youtube has to cut out most the FS1 stuff.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

He hit Griffin in the head with his elbow. The contact wasn't strong but it was uneccesary. The half had just ended and both Griffin and West were tangled up and trying to get possession of the ball (no one knows why). No one would let go so West disloged his hand in the direction of Griffin's head and hit him. It was uneccesary contact to the head and that's why he got a flagrant 2.

By the way, JJ Redick shot 0/7 from 3 tonight. Someone deserves credit for holding a 38.9% career shooter from 3 to a 0/7 outing.

Yeah, I agree for most part, he had a handful of WIDE open attempts that he missed.

Haha, true. He did have some open attempts but for the most part we did a good at closing in on him.

Eh, it's an unnecessary hit in the head. The force wasn't flagrant worthy but the rules indicate that unnecessary contact on the head deserves a flagrant 2.

Good point. I remember the play. Lance drove to the rim and sent two Clippers (Redick and Crawford) flying.

By the way, the fans at the game tonight were great. They deserve some kudos for tonight's win as well. If this game was at Staples Center then this game would become very difficult when they trimmed the lead to 9. However, the crowd really did its job and fired the team up.

To be honest he probably isn't allowed or is discouraged from mentioning ESPN now that Fox Sports has their own 24/7 network directly competing with ESPN.

He works for Fox Sports, he can't be on air mentioning their rival.

I agree it does sound odd because no one knows about FS1. SportsCenter Top 10 plays is a way more known commodity

    Great game, though.

Getting harder and harder to not take this team for granted. They have been so good that you expect a win and you are not surprised to see us blow out a good/great team by 20 or so.

They are making it look easy. Oh Paul George went off for 36 and had a great dunk? No big deal. We're used to it and we're getting spoiled. I love it.

I think I'm almost desensitized by how great this team is starting to become. I'm used to this, so it isn't shocking me. We're used to this. But then I read my Twitter feed and I'm seeing people say that dunk was dunk of the year. I was texting my friend when I saw the dunk and I'm like yeah that's probably Top 5 on ESPN tonight, then I read ESPN's tweet saying how "The night still isn't over but Paul George's dunk is basically a lock for number one."

    Got to love it.

If the Pacers are fortunate enough to keep Lance, I'm still going to be heartbroken over Danny.

Dude was here to watch the end of the JO/Artest era and the beginning of the Hibbert/George one.

    It's bad.

I think he said he just went off, basically a brain fart

Although, last game against the Clips he dominated Blake, and they may have been in a mini scuffle or something. Not sure, though. But I think it is safe to say they aren't fans of each other

They said West was in the locker room watching the rest of the game while working out. Hardass

There's something about Blake that perpetually pisses off opposing players. I'm not sure what it is -- and I really thought it was uncalled for by West -- but it's something much of the league has become accustomed to. Even someone like Andre Miller.

That said, West is so smart and such a vet that it was really disappointing to see that reaction. Luckily, Scola and Danny are ace backups to that position.

A lot of people forget how good Danny was in his prime.

That 08-09 season where he was basically given the keys to the Pacers the guy had nights where he just couldn't miss.

    Dropped 30+ all the time

Hopefully he can get a ring here, and if I were him I'd say give me the veteran minimum, I've made my money off my big contract I got. But I understand if the team wants to go young and if he's seeing offers from other teams wanting to pay him more than what we can afford, I won't be mad if he takes the cash. Good for him.

In a perfect world we can keep both Lance and Danny and keep this juggernaut team together a bit longer.

Don't recall that one off the bat, but I remember watching him hit a game winner against the Suns in Phoenix.

I remember him making a last second shot against the then New Orleans Hornets in NO. But then Chris Paul hit the game winner and I had to hear their commentators go nuts yelling "BOTTOM! BOTTOM! BOTTOM!"

Think that game wasn't televised or something because I watched the NO feed on League Pass, because I always listen to our announcers. Crazy to think that there was a time where 5-6 games weren't on TV or on FSI.

Those O'Brien years even when we played well and stuck with a team, it always seemed we'd lose and lose on a buzzer beater. Man it sucked.
