Danny's D on Griffin was pretty good.
Deandre played hard and earned his boards. Blake made some solid plays on offense, but getting West to go Top Gun (i.e. eject himself) was the most impressive thing he did. I'm still confused as to how that team is top ten defensively. Perhaps I don't give Jordan and Doc enough credit. Really strong game for CJ and the clamp-down to begin the fourth finally closed out a tired Clipper team. Somewhere between a blowout and a schedule loss. Luis didn't even come back into the game after Danny took the reins. I think Pacerized said it during the game, but he really knows how to get to the line.
Ian Report - Not a lot of offensive opportunities for the big man tonight with Lance, PG, and CJ going wild, but he put in a great effort on both Jordan and Griffin. Even he was frustrated by Blake's little pokes and pushes, but managed to hold his ground for the most part. Somehow only called for two fouls, no explanation there. Filled in nicely after Roy picked up a ridiculous foul and helped bring the lead to the point where everything was finished with about six minutes left. I could have sworn he passed to Lance for a basket at the rim. Anyway, about an A-.
"We've got to be very clear about this. We don't want our players hanging around with murderers," said Larry Bird, Pacers president.
Luckily, David is probably not get himself kicked out of games very often and Luis won't accompany that with foul trouble. Nonetheless, our health has been remarkable this year. (Helps to win a lot and have strong young guys.)
The floor spacing and shooting was impressive with DG, PG and Born Ready all on the floor. I'd have watch it again but offensively that was a shot of adrenaline. Something to keep in mind if the team gets into a rut. Not all the time because of just how effective our big line up is but it might come in handy for spurts.
"There is a time to play and a time to win. It is what you do during winning time that differentiates the average players from stars."
I'm comfortable giving Orlando or Rasual minutes as necessary in this scenario if Paul or Lance needs to rest. Not a significant problem for one half of one game IMO.
I hope West isn't suspended for Monday's game, but considering he did this to the Golden Boy brought to you by Kia, I'm almost expecting it.
The team showed great poise to close this game without West. Even with the match-up problem that Luis on Griffin present we didn't miss a beat.
Paul George was spectacular. His efficient scoring and his amazing defense is what locked this win. He was simply great.
Lance Stephenson was amazing. He went 6/7 from the FT line and he had a 22/12/7 statline. He really came through at the beggining of the 4th for us.
Roy had a bad night offensively but he was great defensively. He got 11 boards, blocked 5 shots and altered so many more. He is a big part of why Griffin didn't take over even with a match-up advantage.
Hill had a very solid game. DC is playing great in CP3's absence but Hill did a great job defensively and held him down.
Luis did the best he could against Griffin. He obviously cannot guard him but he did a good job at drawing 2 fouls on him and he hit his FTs.
Danny came through for us as well. He did a great job defensively on Griffin. He made some nice passes and hit the boards as well. His shot wasn't on tonight but other than that he had a great outing.
Mahinmi did a great job on Griffin as well. He didn't even let him get a shot off when he was on him. When Roy was sent to the bench with 4 fouls, Ian really stepped up.
CJ Watson was big as well. His scoring was absolutely needed tonight.

By the way, I'm watching the Heat-Bobcats game and the Heat announcers said that Lance should be in the All-Star game.
Also, what happened to Trophy?
There is no NBA player named Monte Ellis.
We are going to need an Utter Destruction forum to keep post game threads if this keeps up.
Lance is simply an all-star player. You can criticize his perimeter shooting but he does so much more than most other players it's ridiculous. Have y'all texted yet?
This is a very good Indiana team. They're not just hot right now, they've been this good all season long. It's hard to believe that last year Roy Hibbert came in 10th in DPOY voting. He's the best defensive center in the game. But it's not just Hibbert anchoring the middle and Paul George defending the wing. They have excellent defenders at every position. George Hill is a very good defender at point guard, Lance Stephenson is underrated, David West should make an All-NBA defense team this year. Just look down the stat sheet, the Clippers shot below their average at every position. What is this team's weakness?

Lance is our third All-Star. No question about it.
I didn't watch Clippers a lot, but I feel Griffin is a different animal right now from what I saw last year.
He has good perimeter game now, and drives to the basket well.
He almost can play like a SF, plus his usual power game around basket.
He is the worst possible match up that West and Scola can handle.
I like our PF duo but I think speed or mobility is their common weaknesses.
Guess the credit goes to Doc and Griffin for Griffin's huge improvement.
