This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

PG and DG shot horribly tonight but other than that (and the missed FTs by both teams) it was a very good game for us. West and Lance were great, Roy was good (even hit a 3), Hill was solid and even though PG's shot was off he rebounded like a madman and had 6 assists to 1 turnover.

Scola's shot was a bit off but he did hit the boards, DG's shot was off but he made some nice reads on both sides off the ball, Ian had a very good game and CJ was absolutely on fire.

Good showing by the 3rd string as well in garbage time. Sloan made a nice pass to Rasual, Rasual's pump fake and shot looked smooth, OJ made a nice read on the PnR and hit an open Copeland who pump faked and then drove strong to the rim.

All in all, it was a very enjoyable game. Great job, team

It says a lot about our team when George, Granger, and Scola all have bad nights and we win by 20+.

True. Since we have a few days off, I think it might be a good time for Paul to get in about 1,000 jump shots before the next game.

Granger and George were playing H-O-R-S-E. Needless to say, there was no winner.

Defense was amazing, but so was our point guard play. I thought Hill and Watson were great tonight. West took over in George's offensive struggles.

Absolutely stunning defensive effort by the team. Holding the Wizards to 32% FG and 66 points is a great achievement.

    Defensive rotations were excellent.
You could see team closing inside on defense yet didn't leave a lot of room for 3's.

I watched the Wizards feed, and by the end of the night the announcers had stopped being reluctant about admitting it; they basically treated it as a clinic in good defense. Very complimentary.
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

Must have been asphyxiating for the Wizards offense in the paint. Either for their bigs or any drives to the basket.

Quinn Buckner dropped the L bomb tonight comparing Lance to LeBron James. Well, he really is a poor man's LeBron at this point which means he's basically a all-star caliber wing in the NBA. No more should anyone question if Lance's game is going to slide back down. He's here and not going away now.

He really is like the LeBron James of SGs. That doesn't mean the skill level is there, but the style and build is.

He's like a reduced version. Not as big, fast or skilled...but otherwise pretty similar. Both are extremely good passing the ball. LeBron shoots far better. Lance can handle the ball a little better. LeBron is simply more dominant because he's bigger and faster...simply overwhelms a lot of players. Lance can't do that.

I'm not trying to discredit Pacers' defense or play contrarian—Pacers would have won this game, playing this way, against plenty of teams. But Good Lord, were the Wizards awful tonight. I was convinced Gortat was point-shaving for a while.

I went to this game. It was nice to see a great crowd against an unexciting opponent.

CJ was huge, and as BlueCollar mentions, he is just an astronomical upgrade over DJ.

It felt like PG/Scola/Granger combined to go 3-58.

Classic Magic Stephenson game. He did it all out there like he always does. Him and PG combining for 24 rebounds was just insane. Our two starting wings rebounding the ball like that gives us such an edge. These two guys are just so physical.

That was a 12-13 West performance. He was nailing his jumper and was aggressive in the post. Loved seeing him have a big game offensively. Rebounded well too. Loved that put back on the PG miss.

Mahinmi played some good D and came up with some nice boards.

Smothering defense and rebounding won us that game. I've never seen a game with such atrocious FT shooting from both teams.

I was a few rows off the floor and let me tell you we worked them in the defensive end. Hill handcuffed Wall. Beal was saran wrapped by Paul. Our defense was so good. The best I have ever seen in person. I think it was Donahue that tweeted out the shot chart. At the half they we 4-19 inside the 3 point line. Close out, run the off the three point, force then into the paint, and force then to take uncomfortable off balance shots. John Wall looked like a poor mans Devin Harris.

This defense is special. Real special. Few point guards play defense like Hill.

Two things I ask. Frank when the opposing coach puts in the scrubs and you are up? Take your starters out

And the second. We scored 27 points in the second because Lance iniated and ran plays. Why can't he do that in the second? West is on the bench. Let Lance run with it.

Oh and one last thing. Larry is freaking amazing.

They went 7/32. Scola had started out 2/7 but went 2/4 after drawing those FTs and thus increased the percentage for everyone involved. Close enough, though. Their jumpers were really off tonight

PG has just had a horrid shooting month of January. Most of DG's misses seemed to be right on the money, but just rimmed out. Not too worried because overall he has shot the ball pretty well in January.

Talking about defense, let's add John Wall to the list of point guards that have struggled mightily against the Pacers.

13 points and 3 assists on 4/15 shooting from a player that will probably be starting for the ASG.

Amazing job, Hill (and the rest of the team, of course)
