Thread: Keep an eye out for 1/28

Cool Keep an eye out for 1/28

1/28 is Tuesday, which means it's fan night on NBATV. Pacers @ Lakers might get the votes because Hoopshype says D'Antoni is hoping Nash and Kobe will return in that game. Our biggest competition for that FAN NIGHT would be Spurs @ Rockets and Wizards @Warriors.

NBA TV games don't matter. I feel bad for the people without cable.

Oh I have cable, but I have the worst cable tv provider in the country, Mediacom. They don't even carry nbatv.

I pay like $200 for Comcast and don't get NBATV, so don't feel too bad.

Cable will be dead in ten years anyway, with the proliferation of "over the top" technology. The NBA already sort of does it with league pass, as does MLB, and now pro wrestling is launching a network that will be available without cable. I will dance of the metaphorical graves of the cable companies when it happens too, bunch of crooks.

I'd think that most here would vote for the Spurs Vs. Rockets game just so that the Pacers game doesn't end up on NBATV.

Regardless.....I'd think that most non-Pacer fans would want to watch the Spurs / Rockets game.....I have a feeling that game will be more interesting to watch. We're talking about the Pacers playing a hapless Lakers Team.

Yeah except... who do most people get their internet access from? The cable company. We're screwed either way.

My cable company (Astound) doesn't offer NBA TV as an option, for any price, and of course the NBA doesn't include it with League Pass (though NBAtv games do show up on LPBB a couple hours after the game). Thanks guys!

At least you dont have COX.

Packages suck, and I have lived in many different areas and the TV kept skipping.

Got so bad we got Dish (long story, DIRECTV showed up but said it was too dark and never came back to do the install) and went into the COX store to cancel our package. The irony: the cable was out in the store (the tech said it was because of how windy it was....because that makes sense).

Sadly, DISH doesn't offer internet in our area, so we are stuck with COX internet and DISH TV.

I will join you in your dance when cable dies

I have NBATV but rarely watch it. I only watch Pacer games normally.

I live out in the boonies and had crappy internet service until a few month's ago.
Now I have unlimited broadband that comes from a cell tower and is boosted by an antenna mounted on the side of my house. It's around $45 a month and is faster than my old mifi (which was capped and often left me with a hundred buck charge for the month.

    ETC: Enhanced telecommunication.
They're out of Greensburg. It's almost thirty miles from me.
I don't know if they have other offices.

I told them that I'd plug them if they turned out to be good. LOVE them!

I have Dish also but rarely watch it and am thinking about killing it and just putting a good antenna in my big ol' attic.

I am assuming ETC is a Indy based business? Boo! I would love to find an alternative to our current situation.

    Greensburg in Decatur county.
It works great. If they will not service you I'd look for someone in your area with the same technology.

The Lakers win fan night all the time because of their fan base, doesn't matter if they're horrible. That game is a lock for NBATV.

I am right outside of Washington DC, so I do not think it an an option for me

Thank you for the plug though. I love learning about what options we have, though unfortunately I think ours are limited.

But most of the votes will be because Nash and Kobe might return for that game.
