Raptors, last I checked, begins with an "R". I vs T looks much more fun. I demand a mod makes these changes.

I think they end up as the 3 seed in the East. Now that they seem to have embraced the "winning" strategy as opposed to the "tanking" strategy, they are playing really good basketball. With Horford going down, the 3 seed is wide open. Why not the Raps? Played us hard twice in a week, beating us once, and played Miami hard. Plus they got rid of the Gay Cancer. Always a winning recipe.

Great overall game by our guys. So many contribution from different players tonight, including our bench guys Scola and Granger. Just enough to buffer PG's slump. Hope that PG gets an explosive game tomorrow.

The beginning was looking like Roy was getting ready to foul out I'm glad he corrected and was able to stay in the game.

I don't really get what everyone else sees in Valanciunas. In the games I have watched, he has looked wildly mediocre. Then again, in most of the Raptor games I've watched, he's been going against Hibbert.

You know...Hibbert has him figured out. I've seen him in other games though and I always thought he was a pretty good player.

16,000 people came out to see the Pacers play Toronto with these ****** roads and low temps. I'm very happy to see that, and Toronto's Media Relations was impressed as well:

Toronto's a good team, but we were able to weather the storm tonight. Loved what Lance brought tonight, and I thought Granger, Roy, and Scola were all real solid.

When I first saw Valanciunas in the 2011 EuroBasket, he was amazing. The kid had tons of potential. He had everything that you could ask out of a Center prospect.

    Size and wingspan? Check.
    Fundamentals? Check.
    Athleticism and mobility? Check.
    Post moves and footwork? Check.
    FT shooting? Check.
    Defensive potential? Check.

But most importantly he had the willing to bang down low. He is a very tough kid that had the body of the Center and wanted to play like a Center. That wasn't the case for another very talented Lithuanin prospect, Donatas Motiejūnas. Donatas preferred to play in the perimeter but Jonas wanted to play inside. That's why he was a very effiicent player.

I was very high on him and I still am. He can create his own shot, he has a serviceable jumper (much like Roy) and he is a good finisher inside with good hands. I just don't think that Toronto has done a good job at developing him.

VERY impressed with turnout considering circumstances. I'm in the suburbs, and I can barely get out of my neighborhood. Roads still very bad here. Anyone who went: kudos! That's commitment.

    Quick thoughts tonight...

    1. This team is in a stretch where it's winning games on talent alone, but not exerting consistent effort. I thought defensive effort was there most of the night minus Ian reverting to Bad Ian a lot and Paul George just committing silly/lazy fouls. This team can win games on defense alone, but I'd sure like to see some work put into getting this offense out of its funk.

    2. Danny Granger could really be huge for this team, huh?

    3. I'm sure Vogel is already telling him this, but Paul George needs to take a deep breath and refocus his game on getting to the rim/line. Settling for way too many long jumpers. They fell earlier in the season. They're not now. I just don't want him to get cold in the playoffs/home stretch and forget the bread and butter of his offensive game.

    4. It also occurs to me that this is the tallest team that seems to refuse to dunk or finish strong at the rim. I get that a lot of guys on this team just aren't built this way, but 2 or 3 times a game, the opportunity is there and the player just goes soft to the rim.

    5. I think Roy Hibbert won this game, and that's really about as simple as it gets.

Plumlee reminds me of a young Dale Davis. Good rebounding and he contests shots well on defense and his offensive game is very raw just like DD's was coming out of college.

Roy and Lance are sharing this Man of the Match award. They were absolutely crucial. Roy going 12/13 from the FT line was huge and I absolutely love that he can do it. Lance was amazing as usual. I wanted to see the offense run through him in the final minutes in order for him to get his well-earned triple-double but it didn't happen. Oh well, we can't have it all.

PG is in a mini-slump right now. He did a better job defensively but he fouled too much. He has to step it up a bit because opposing fans are starting to doubt him.

West was mediocre offensively but great defensively. He and Roy completely dominated Toronto's frontcourt.

Hill was great when he was playing aggressive in the first half. He was quiet in the second half, though. His defense on Lowry was good but it could have been better (Lowry shot over 50% and that's rare for PGs going up against Hill). He had a solid game overall.

Luis should have shot better tonight (4/11 is not bad but he can do better) and hit the boards hard. However, Patrick Patterson took the best of him on the other side of the court. Now, it's not his fault that Patrick caught fire from 3 (it happens sometimes) but that dunk in the 4th was just poor defense. Of course, Patterson is much more athletic than him so that blow-by is natural. All in all, he had a good game and I'm loving what he's giving us. He has been golden.

Danny was good. He shot 50% and he would have shot better if that 3 wasn't rescinded due to that off ball foul. He crashed the boards, he moved the ball and he was efficient. Good game for him and I'm glad that he seems able to handle 32 minutes. I don't want him to play so many minutes in a consistent basis since I want him fresh for the playoffs but it's nice to see that his body can handle it.

Ian was solid. He didn't foul a lot tonight. He was there when the Raptors made their run in the 4th but I don't think that I can attribute it to him.

CJ had a solid game as well. He hit all of his shots and played good defense on DeRozan at the end of the 3rd quarter.
