Thread: Playoffs: WC vs Chiefs

Default Re: Playoffs: WC vs Chiefs

Better to be lucky than good because honestly I thought the Chiefs were the better team today.

Alex Smith will be blamed for this loss he shouldn't though

Chiefs gave us a good scare...

But this game embodied what was wrong with the Colts in the first half slow starts and then finally got a clue in the second half.

They can't afford to do that against Denver or New England.

Hopefully some of them had Pacer tickets and leave early to go to that game, I know I would if I were in that situation lol.

would you prefer @NE or @DEN?
The poster "pacertom" since this forum began (and before!). I changed my name here to "Slick Pinkham" in honor of the imaginary player That Bobby "Slick" Leonard picked late in the 1971 ABA draft (true story!)

As far as our chances winning go? I'd want NE... As far as actual games go, I want to play Peyton, period.

Brady won't choke... With Manning it's a possibility all things considered.

It took Peyton 10 years to have a career defining game like this.

DEFINITELY @ Den, no question about it. I think the whole Colts angle would get in Peyton's head, as would the prospect of going 0-2 against the guy who took his job. I mean could there really be a more haunting finish to a 55 TD 5477 yard season?

It would obviously be brutally difficult to win in Denver, but I'd like our chances better there than in Foxboro. I like Pagano, but I think that Belichick would win the coaching battle big time. I fear that it would get very very very ugly for the Colts at Foxboro. I think that Pags can out coach Fox though. Either place will be tough to win at, but we're playing with house money at this point. The season is now a smashing success by any objective measure.

Congrats to the Colts on an amazing come back win.

Pathetic that one playoff win and the conversation is supposed to be closed. Comedic, but pathetic.

I think Manning's 2nd trip to the playoffs ended 41-0 losing to the Jets...

Yeah, look at the teams who have beat the Pats at Foxboro in recent years: 09 and 12 Ravens, 10 Jets. Those teams had phenomenally great defenses. I don't think that the Colts could fluster Brady like those teams did.

With Manning, there is at least a decent chance that the whole Colts/Luck angle could get in his head. I think it was definitely in his head in October.

Someone on twitter set it completely right.

Luck may not be the most precise QB ever, but he is a HELLUVA player.
