Default Roy Hibbert considering changing to #15.

I'm not sure if that worked or not, but he took over ESPNs twitter for the Lakers/Heat game and posted that.

Does he not realize a certain former Pacer wore that number, then shamed the franchise(Granted he was #91 at the time but still)?

Artest was #91 but we get the idea

I love 55 on Roy because when he goes straight up (his signature defensive move really) he's holding up five fingers on each hand, 55

Area 55 sounds a lot better than Area 15.

My sister got a #55 shirt today haha.

He might have been joking though. He's known to do that.

Worst idea since Mamba changed from 8 to 24. This guy needs to keep rocking the double nickel.

Maybe he's trying to shave 40 season tickets off his budget. On a serious note, I hope he doesn't. 55 seems pretty unique to me (don't know anyone off hand that had it) and I already have some 55 gear.

Also, The Indian In The Cupboard is a Roy Hibbert biography. They're both equally serious statements.

He was joking. Besides, I think Donald Sloan might have something to say about that.

And no, PG isn't changing his number anymore.

Has he stated this somewhere? He seemed pretty certain that it would be changing at some point.

All of this talk about changing numbers got me thinking - will the Lakers retire both 8 and 24 for Kobe? I think they should. The cat spent a decade clowning on fools in 8 which included 3 rings with Diesel and some ridiculous scoring numbers. It would be weird to ever see another Laker rock 8. It's as if he divided his career up into halves. The first decade was with the 8 when he was a young dude with explosive moves who was dunking on fools with the fro. The second decade will be with 24 when he was a crafty older guy who shared one thing in common with 8 - winning rings and scoring points.

I wish he would have kept 8 for his entire career, but I've gotten used to the 24.

I don't think Roy is being serious, but I don't want to see a number change. 55 is the perfect big man number. Fits him well. That 55 will look great in the rafters someday when it's hanging close to 24.

    He's not.

PG tweeted that at the beginning of last season about changing it for this season. A lot of things have happened since then and it's clear 24 is his number. Plus, it hasn't been mentioned since then.

As far as Roy, I would think Pacers fans would know when he's joking and it seems more than likely he is.

I still think of Kobe as #8.
There are two types of quarterbacks in the league: Those whom over time, the league figures out ... and those who figure out the league.
