you would not give up a future first for plumlee?? plumlee reminds me of a potential foster type player.

were not drafting in the lottery anytime soon.
You don't necessarily have to draft in the lottery in order to draft a decent to solid rotational Player ( see the Older Plumlee ).

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

In all fairness to KG, his teammates love him and he does show strong leadership as a member of a team. He's just a jerk when he's your opponent though.

But I want no part of KG right now. If he can't do anything decent in a limited Brooklyn team, I don't know if he can contribute as much in a stacked Indiana team.

I think that KG's defense is still somewhat decent....but his offense appears to be wearing off. But given his Salary and contract situation.....its a total NO GO for me.

In response to the thread title, IMO the Nets will have a hard time blowing it up because their players are either expensive, old, or injury-prone. Plus they are out of picks to use as sweeteners. They can make one more bad trade I guess (using Plumlee and/or rights to Bogdanovic), but knowing Billy King he's more likely to double down going after another big name than to try and blow it up.

David West even has an opinion on the Nets

"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

He clarified it. He wasn't referring to the nets.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

We get our chance to sink a dagger into the heart of that franchise on Saturday...finally killing off all hope of recovery for Pierce and Garnett. Maybe they announce retirement this weekend.

What does that game matter more than every other *** kicking they've been handed this season?

Garnett will play out his deal and collect his $12 million annual salary. He's mailing it in.

Good point. Maybe it's just another *** beating to them. But consecutive *** beatings by the same team at this time of the year might have them reflect on their careers. We can only hope to not see Garnett on the floor again. Perhaps a 40 point beating is in order.

Garnett doesn't get paid less if he loses by 40. And it's not like he cares one bit about embarrassing the Brooklyn nets. Nobody is going to identify him or his legacy with this dumpster fire of a team.

Agreed. Perhaps he's already retired...just out for a little exercise.

At some point they'll have to admit the mistake of making Kidd the coach. I like Kidd but he's not getting his players to perform up to their potential. Age is a factor but right now I think the only players he has out are Lopez and AK. There is still enough talent on that team to get above 500, I don't understand the lineups he's using right now. I'd try a traditional starting lineup with Batche, KG, Pierce, Johnson and Williams. He still has solid backups at every position. I don't really want them to succeed because I hate the concept of someone trying to buy a title but the right coach should be able to get that lineup to the playoffs.

Exactly. Garnett on the Nets is about as pathetic as Patrick Ewing on the Seattle Supersonics. It will just be a footnote in history.

Garnett will be remembered for the great stats he put up in Minnesota and for the highly effective hard nosed ball he played as an old guy on a successful Boston team. People will delete the Brooklyn horror show from their memories.

Ewing was worse on Orlando than he was in Seattle. And most NBA fans still think he never left the Knicks.

This is so true. They fired a proven coach that lead them to their best record in nearly a decade for a freshly retired PG with a drinking problem and no coaching experience. Then they followed that up by removing even more coaching experience from their bench when they demoted Lawrence Frank. They should've offered the job to Brian Shaw when they had the chance.

I'd be shocked if Jason Kidd is still coaching this team by the end of January.

Larry is not coming back, he didn't have a meeting with Orlando for not reason, yeah he is coming back to the NBA but not to the Pacers, the notion that he is a taking a year off and then come back is absurd.

the owner loves Jason Kidd. Therefore, Kidd stays.

If they were going to fire him, they'd have done so after he re-assigned the assistant they wasted $6 million on bringing in to help him.
