West doesn't have the numbers no way, I have to see who is Lance competing against.
The coaches don't give a **** about numbers. They tend to reward veterans/leaders on winning teams. I don't necessarily think West will be an All-Star, but unless Lance goes bananas for the next month+ I think West has a better shot of getting voted in by the coaches than Lance does.

Any way Lance is an all star? must improve? I'm going to look to see who he is competing against.
Afflalo has been the best SG in the East so far if we're going by numbers. Evan Turner has also been really good. However, Wade is the most likely to be voted in. And you also have the superstar votes that will go to Rose, Rondo and even Irving and Wall. I don't think that Lance will be an All-Star this year although he certainly deserves it over the injured stars. I also don't think that we will have 3 All-Stars this season (PG is a lock and Hibbert will probably get in as well).

He is a prime candidate for most improved, though. Afflalo and Turner are good candidates for this award as well. But the front-runner at this point is Bledsoe, imo. He is having a great season and the Suns are actually a winning team under his leadership unlike Orlando and Philly.

12 and 7? I don't think so no way, remember that forwards are in it together too so yeah no chance. Lance has a really small chance but the triple doubles can help.

If West didn't get in last year with his impressive numbers, then there's no way he gets in this year....IMHO.

Roy looked extremely uncomfortable in that interview. He usually doesn't look at the camera, but he really looked extremely uncomfortable.

So we're on track for about 66 wins. I've always felt that 63-65 was a good benchmark for getting the 1 seed.

Wests one saving grace could be injuries and just how bad the east is. But I agree I doubt he gets in.

Yeah I could see us doing even better as well. What with so many of our tough games out of the way. Far more celtics on our schedule than Heat

Last year Noah was an all star with 12 and 11 and Chandler was at 10 and 10. If the Pacers are still way ahead of the rest of the East I can see it happening.

Not sure how having the forwards together hurts West. There are three forward spots and two wild cards for coaches to fill.

Maybe DWest should stop blocking out so that Lance can get the rebound and go for them himself.

40 points off the bench, that's hard to believe. When you think back to last year that would have taken us 5 games to achieve.
This bench has a chance to be better then the bench we had in some of the late 90's teams and we had an incredible bench then.

I don't think he gets in either, all I said was I think he has a better chance than Lance. Also, we didn't have a gaudy record last year like we are staring at this year.

I think coaches still think in more in terms of a traditional lineup then fans do. Now that they've eliminated the center position fans would just vote for 5 wing players if they could.
I see Hibbert and possibly Drummond getting in since no centers will be voted in by the fans. West is a long shot but maybe.

Dont the coaches pick an alternate player if an injured player gets voted in?

I'd pay money for someone to make a clip of all the weird and funny crap Lance does on the court.
I'm not sure able's servers could handle the bandwidth that would take.

If it is an injured player I believe they go with the next top voter. The coaches do decide the reserves.

I'm usually one of those 'wait-and-see' sorta pessimistic guy that needs to watch the season play out and whatnot. But, the more I watch this team, the more I feel that this year could actually be OUR YEAR! Does anyone else feel that way?

Looking at it objectively I can see how Lance's antics would **** off the other team and its fans.

We know that it's just Lance being Lance but other teams justifiably perceive some of his behaviors as disrespectful.

Lance to me is like Jo Noah, I love watching both players play. Noah and Lance are two of my favorite players in the league, guys just love to play and want to win. I don't mind when players play with passion like Noah and Lance do as long as you play hard.
