Default Pacers / Celtics Post Game Thread - 12/22

    This game was just unfair.

The Pacers could have missed all their shots in the 4th QTR and still win by 1.

    Also....Lance with the Triple Double.
Ash from Army of Darkness: Good...Bad...I'm the guy with the gun.

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

Lance practicing his adult film acting skills?

That guy is always fun to watch.

I wonder if I should stop watching basketball after this season, cause I don't think that I get the oportunity to see such a great team playing so damn well on both ends of the floor with multiple great players, each bringing a special piece to the team...just wow...this is a textbook team, every coach should tell his players to watch Pacers basketball right now...I am so stunned and impressed...I started watching NBA in 07/08 and this is just like a new world for me. Go Pacers!

I'd pay money for someone to make a clip of all the weird and funny crap Lance does on the court.

Just wait until tomorrow night. You know he'll be feeling good about himself after this triple double and will be itching to put on a show at home in Brooklyn.

I'm not sure able's servers could handle the bandwidth that would take.

Loved the chemistry between Lance and Granger. As was mentioned in the game thread, these guys really haven't played together much since Lance didn't get many minutes two years ago when DG was last in the rotation. That fastbreak in the first half where Lance did the spin move and hit DG for that open three was beautiful. Lance just does everything out there and his swagger rubs off on the whole team. He's without question one of the top reasons we have such a ridiculously good record. This guy really does have sky high potential with his talent.

I'm glad to see Granger playing well. He will be a lethal asset off of the bench if he keeps shooting like this. He seems to be moving pretty well out there and it's nice to see him be a part of this deadly team. He gives us such an advantage over Hill and OJ. It's nothing against those guys, but they just aren't even in Granger's stratosphere. That block by DG towards the end was impressive and just gives credence to the fact that he looks good physically. I hope he stays healthy because he can really help this team with his skills.

Glad to see Hibbert dominate the first half. We didn't really have to go to him or West much in the second half because of the blowout. Mahinmi gave us some solid minutes off of the bench.

Typical PG game that has come to be expected.

Great win. We're starting to take fools to the woodshed. I've been a Pacer fan since the mid 90's and this is definitely the most talented team from top to bottom.

Lance is playing out of his mind. He may demand a LOT of money this summer. But if Larry needs to trade GHill to keep him this summer he will do it.

Most improved is a possibility. All-Star--probably not. Honestly his biggest competition would be his own teammates. PG is a shoo-in. You have to think the odds on favorite for DPOY (Hibbert, obviously) is a shoo-in. Then I think if the Pacers were to send a third representative the coaches would pick West over Lance.

West doesn't have the numbers no way, I have to see who is Lance competing against.

Afflalo has been the best SG in the East so far if we're going by numbers. Evan Turner has also been really good. However, Wade is the most likely to be voted in. And you also have the superstar votes that will go to Rose, Rondo and even Irving and Wall. I don't think that Lance will be an All-Star this year although he certainly deserves it over the injured stars. I also don't think that we will have 3 All-Stars this season (PG is a lock and Hibbert will probably get in as well).

He is a prime candidate for most improved, though. Afflalo and Turner are good candidates for this award as well. But the front-runner at this point is Bledsoe, imo. He is having a great season and the Suns are actually a winning team under his leadership unlike Orlando and Philly.

Dont the coaches pick an alternate player if an injured player gets voted in?

I'm starting to believe that Lance can develop great chemistry with anyone immediatedly. He just knows where players are going to go. He makes that look so simple.

Agreed. And jump shooters like West, Scola, PG, and Granger are perfect targets for him because they often get open as a result of his driving to the hoop.

Looking at it objectively I can see how Lance's antics would **** off the other team and its fans.

We know that it's just Lance being Lance but other teams justifiably perceive some of his behaviors as disrespectful.

Lance to me is like Jo Noah, I love watching both players play. Noah and Lance are two of my favorite players in the league, guys just love to play and want to win. I don't mind when players play with passion like Noah and Lance do as long as you play hard.

    That was just redonkulous.

The Celtics were putting in maximum effort, fighting as hard as they could, and we just straight-up dominated them.

Can't get too high off of this, even though there will be a lot of games like this, because most of the East is just so terrible. We aren't likely to see many wins like this against the top tier teams. But man oh man this was so fun to watch.

Danny looked really good, his shot is already starting to come back, he is playing good defense and already looks like a natural fit in this offense with great passing and floor spacing.

    Lance. Lance dude, wow.

28 assists on 41 field goals. The passing was great as the lead was built up and sustained. The bench blew it open in the second quarter. Danny looking smooth on non-finger roll shots. Looked like a really fun game to attend.

Ian Report: The refs still hate him, but Ian managed four points, eight boards, and four assists. Should have had at least two blocks. His defensive presence continues to be consistent and now he has shown offensive confidence in the last couple of games. Solid one question interview at halftime as well. B+.
