Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

I'd like to nominate Jerrell Freeman for Defensive Player of the Week. Sack, forced fumble and 2 interceptions.

I said that this game would tell us a lot about our team. It did. This was a phenomenal performance and it shows that the improvement we've seen recently wasn't fool's gold. I've criticized Pags when I felt he deserved it, but this win today was all coaching. Great performance by his defense and I think it's pretty safe to say that he was in Pep's ear telling him to change some things on offense. It's nice to see us play a good game against a non-South team, which is something that we haven't done since the Denver game. So now we have wins against San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, and KC. Wow.

10-5 and should easily take care of the putrid Jags next week to go 11-5 for the second consecutive season. So that means that Luck will start his career at 22-10. Wow! In his rookie year, he lost his head coach to an awful illness (though certainly had a great coach in Arians), and in his second year he lost his security blanket HOF WR, as well as multiple other good offensive weapons. Yet the kid just keeps winning, winning, and winning. We will make it to the Super Bowl someday with Andrew Luck.

Brown is playing the best football of his career. Glad we passed it to T-Rich a few times. This Whalen kid looked like a BEAST today. Man, it was impressive to see him give all of that effort to get extra yards. This guy is a nice asset right now.

That's the defense that looked so solid in the first half of the season.

Great win, and overall a very impressive season. Glad to see us closing the regular season out on a high note.

Much like the San Fran game.

The Chefs had the ball 11 times. They scored a TD on their first possession. The remaining 10 KC drives ended in 5 punts, 2 INT's, 2 fumbles, and one missed FG.

And I also have to say, I've rode T Rich as hard as anyone, but I saw improvement today. He didn't kick down any doors but what I did see was him absorbing contact on several carries and falling forward, getting a yard or two after contact. Was nice to see that instead of getting stuffed and hitting the ground like a sack of potatoes.

It's amazing what a single game can do to change the perception around a team.

I have to credit the coaching staff and players for grinding through a rough patch of play.

Great game by Pep and Pagano. Both of the running backs looked good. I thought Xavier Nixon played well at LG, or at least better than Satele and McGlynn did. Whalen is working his way towards a roster spot next year. Freeman was a beast with the forced fumble, fumble recovery, and interception.

I couldn't see the game because of work, but we did have it on the radio and the thing that impressed me the most was the defense, KC scored that first TD quickly and after that the Colt's defense held them to that score the entire game. That impressed me the most about the game. Now if we can play that style of defense in the playoffs I am not too worried about the playoffs.

I think the defense improves when the offense can stay on the field. Whalen and Rogers are upgrades over DHB. Watching DHB on ST's today, and seeing his and his teammates reaction to that stick he got on the returner kinda told me that regardless of his drops he's a good teammate and players like him. Maybe the coaches do to and that is why they found it so hard to do what needed to be done and minimize his time at wideout? Maybe he's a hardworker. But ultimately, his presence in the offense had to lead to hesitation. Maybe with these other guys getting snaps and familiarity, and actually catching catchable balls, it's leading to the defense getting some breathers on the sideline while the offense can actually use some clock. So it's a net positive on both sides of the ball.

Whalen's YAC were impressive to see. Yeah, he got a little help but then he also didn't crumple immediately when he knew he could fight for more yards. And it was situationally in places where that needed to happen.

And the O line gave Luck time to throw. That cannot be understated.
Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.
