Lance looks like he's doing Bill Engvall's "dork fish" impersonation.
In Indiana Basketball is not just a game...it's a way of life!

1st impression- Danny has major rust and will take several games to shake it off. 2nd- DG still seems a bit unsure of is jump on his shots. Doesn't seem to get the explosion and lift as before. DG will certainly spread the floor better when he's in the game because you cannot cheat off a guy who can shoot like he can AND go to the hole. George Hill had a huge chip on his shoulder tonight and it paid off. Lance may cause as many guys to swing on him as Bird did his first few years. Nobody likes to be made to look silly and Lance is really good at doing that. Why is Houston not playing Asik? If you want to trade a player, aren't you better off letting people see him play?

As I said in the game.....there is "Passive George Hill" and there is "Aggressive George Hill".
Sometimes it feels like there is "Tries to Play Like a Point Guard George Hill" (AKA Passive) and there is"Plays Like a Shooting Guard George Hill" (AKA Aggressive).

That was a very pleasant surprise and makes me feel much better about this team. They need to remain focused and go on another long winning streak. The schedule for the next month is pretty easy.

As for the game, I guess when I'm reading ahead of the game that Houston's offense is all about paint and 3's, and I see Coach McHale saying they don't adjust to other teams, and I of course know that our great defense is DESIGNED to lock up the paint and 3's... oh, and the fact that Paul George is a TERRIBLE matchup for James Harden... yeah, this didn't exactly shock me LOL.

Roy's stats were ho-hum, but he D'd up pretty well on Dwight last night, too.

Danny looks healthy to me. Rusty of course, and a flat jumper, but those will come.

I agree that it's entertaining, but it's only a matter of time before someone puts Lance in his place. Not that I want to see it happen, but he's not going to get away with his **** forever.
There aren't any players left in this league that would. Except maybe David West.

Kobe is old and broken, KG is old and broken and Wade is too small. Every one else is just going to get annoyed, stare him down, and talk about him after the game. (Lebron..)

I found this looking at the Realgm Houston forum. It's from a poster critical of Harden. Myself I think it's funny.

    http://forums.realgm.com/boards/view...1990&start=120

    This is our leader.

I understand if he goofs around during the practice but not while the coach is trying to implement a scheme during a game especially as a leader.
The leader/captain should behave as a secondary coach on the court by implementing and regulating behaviors of his followers not distract your chain of command.
I shouldn't be too critical of his behavior over this image but this is what I exactly think of his behavior when Harden is on the court. - See more at: http://forums.realgm.com/boards/view....RW4106Vv.dpuf

Not sure how Danny only got credited with 2 assists. He was really passing well out there.
    I counted 3.

PG24 and Lance have taken greater roles on the offensive end over the last year....I wonder if this comes from his role on the Staring unit where there are other Players that can initiate the offense.
Ash from Army of Darkness: Good...Bad...I'm the guy with the gun.

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

Rockets are missing that one veteran presence that will make sure the team has the right mindset....AKA their David West.

Pretty much. And honestly, if West had never come here I think we'd still be immensely focused. West has given us a sharks with lasers on their heads type of focus, but we'd be plenty zeroed in w/o him. It's one of those X factors that a guy that's one of the handful of best players in history can sniff out in scouting and draft interviews. Culture, basically. I've talked about it on other boards with people that think all we've done is draft really well (as if that isn't hard enough). It's drafting well AND drafting dudes that fit. Like, our draftboards must only have like 6 guys on them total.

If Kobe's veteran presence and drive didn't fix Howard nobody will, they can have Dwest, Tim Duncan or whoever and those clowns are going to act the same.
