Thread: Miami's schedule

    Default Miami's schedule

Have the Heat played anyone with a winning record besides the Pacers? They've had it pretty easy.

Clippers and Bulls. That's all I remember off hand. Their tough games are to come. That's why I'm pretty stoked we are ahead with the toughest part of our schedule behind us.

Hence the reason they can rest DWade and he ensues by putting up 29 on the Pacers.

Heat will be trouble as is... if DWade is close to 100% they will be a tougher out than expected.

Heat resting Wade and Oden is going to pay dividends. Esp with Wade.

Miami really doesn't have a tough stretch all their tough games are bookended with easy games. They don't have anything remotely as tough as @ Portland, @ OKC, VS Miami

Who cares who they have played?? At the end of the year they will have played 82 just like us. There are only two good teams in the east. It really is irrevlent. I was taught early in basketball control what you can control and don't get a **** about the rest. Just play your game.

Look at their late January and February schedule. It is actually quite brutal.

Well you're absolutely wrong. If we have a one game lead after playing the schedule we have, THAT'S A GOOD THING! Miami has played one tough road game - US!

Did anyone expect the NBA to do anything but give Miami a cake walk?
"We've got to be very clear about this. We don't want our players hanging around with murderers," said Larry Bird, Pacers president.

What? The schedules are about the same for every team. I mean pacers and heat play each western conference team twice. The only slight difference is teams either play their own conference teams 3 or 4 times

Not meant to be a condescending question, why do you even bother following the NBA if you think schedule makers are fixing the schedule?

I don't think the schedule is fixed. I don't even know if that is possible or what that means. Up to this point, Miaimi has had a very easy schedule.

    This is a joke....right?

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

I dont think it was intentional but seriously Miami could not have gotten a luckier draw. We have already played 3 back to backs tougher than any they will face this year. Our big west coast trip was 5 games in 8 nights. Theres is 6 in 15.

Nba really needs to work on equalize things like that.

Perhaps our tougher schedule will expose our weaknesses more and we get a chance to work on them. Perhaps it's better to have back to backs and get blown out by OKC instead of barely losing to them and also losing to a lesser team after a back to back...a team we would normally beat? I'm not sure if the calculus is as bad as it seems. But knowing this team, I tend to think they might beat the lesser teams on back to backs most of the time so it's just unclear if the schedule will really mean anything. If our record is just slightly worse than Miami's at the end of the season maybe this is an issue.

If they had an easier schedule early they will have a tougher one later, and vice versa.

The pacers can always request to have shorter west coast trips. Every team gets one schedule concession.

Don't know what their schedule request was this season, but that clearly wasn't their highest priority.

No they dont have a tougher schedule later. Read what i wrote. They dont have to play at Portland and OKC on the second night of a back to back for example. They are being given plenty of rest between their tough road opponents. Much more to a schedule than just who you play.

I don't know if that is true. If your west coast trip is Portland, Dallas, San Antonio, OKC, and Houston. That is a lot tougher than having a west coast trip of Phoenix, Utah, San Antonio, Clippers, Sacramento. Back to backs, and the sequences of which you play teams also plays a factor in sos.

Of course not...they only play on the road vs Portland on the back end of a back to back, GSW on the back end, Houston on the back end, with a day off followed by San Antonio...

You're seeing what you want to see. The bias isn't with the nba here, it's with you.
