Default Worth its own thread: LeBron upset about Lance's late dunk.

I'd seen in mentioned, but hadn't seen the footage before.

By request, ICYM Pacers Live Pregame Friday, segment featurin... on Twitpic

    As noted by Cornrows:

I guess Utah's Alec Burks won't forget LeBron powering by him last night to dunk, pose and stare while putting the Heat up 18 late in the fourth quarter on Monday night. Yeah, LeBron has a lot of room to complain. Plus, he made that move after tweaking the ankle that has him questionable to play against the Pacers on Wednesday.
Interesting about the ankle. It couldn't be that LeBron was pre-building an excuse, could it?
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

I suspect it's more that LeBron is building a "See? I can destroy you with my ankle in shreds that would have killed a lesser man" narrative.

Do you guys honestly think Lebron is building a narrative or are you just joking around because I can't tell anymore.

Anyway, Lebron saying that to PG is pretty much a non story. The dude could have gotten back on D and didn't. I don't think it will be anything more than bulletin board material in the end.

On a SC conversation with wade they asked if the heat thought they were going to win the championship this year.

He said they do not like to talk when it comes to basketball. Yup...

I see this as just some bulletin board material trying to get their boys ready to get into a bruising style of basketball. If they try that tonight I can see them having match-up problems and I would like to see the person guarding Hibbert in the post. I see a big game from him and PG to show that it was not a fluke. I hope Lance can come out and stay under control during the game and not let the crowd affect him.

My opinion I as a Pacers fan I see this as a compliment. Lebron is actually acknowledging that he has to get a little more motivation when facing us. No big deal.....this happens in life everyday. Find something to motivate you for a difficult task.

He looked like he wanted to punch Lance when he was saying that to PG, so I think he was serious.

LeBron keeps showing his skirt, everytime he lets Lance get under his skin. After a while, you'd think he'd get smart enough to quit worrying so much about what Lance does.

What if someone from a school of business or management school were to ask, How did you do this? How did you get the Pacers turned around? Is there a general approach you've taken that can be summarized?

    Larry Bird: Yeah, patience.

Absolutely and poor old Lebron doesn't have Dexter Pittman to do his dirty work.

There are a lot of reasons for the Heat organization to milk the injury, not least of which creating uncertainty in the Pacers' defensive preparations. There are a lot of reasons for the media to milk this, not least of which, well, it's LEBRON! WE CAN HAZ TALKING NONSTOP ABOUT LEBRON! LEBRON LEBRON LEBRON!

The idea that LeBron is creating a narrative may be a little hyperbole. But not a LOT of hyperbole...

We're talking about a guy who has sprained his ankle ten times in his career in the past and has only missed 8 games because of it. I doubt Lebron is building any sort of narrative.

Oh he's building a narrative, but it's not about his ankle.

The narrative he's building is that we aren't "rivals". And if this video gets picked up by the national media, it might throw a wrench in that whole "Closest thing to a rivalry I've had is with Boston." crap.

Exactly. It's like Jordan being really "sick." None of this means anything, we'll see him on the court tonight just fine.

Lebron just wants Lance, he has a crush on him. You know, show affection in a childish way. Lebron wants Lance to choke him. Lebron can't stop thinking about his long fingers and just wonders, wonder if?

LeMe is simply wanting to fire himself and his team up. OK, if that's what he needs to do.

I remember Wade two playoffs ago against IND. Making a breakaway dunk then getting down on one knee in front of the cameras and pointing to himself. The announcers chuckled it up. It's part of the sport. If ya got it then let em know. I don't have a problem if it doesn't get out of hand.
