Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

Can someone recap? Was there anything said that was noteworthy?
    Thx in advance.

A lot of talk about early Pacers (ABA) and the fact he thought they had a once in a lifetime frontline with McGinnis, Daniels and Brown. He said you don't see a frontline with 3 pcs like that... closest comparison was Celtics with Bird, McHale, and Parish.

Mentioned he didn't think the job would last long when he signed on as coach of the Pacers... and all these years later he's still here. Talked about the support Indy had for the early Pacers and how the city didn't have much at the time so the Pacers were needed (or filled a void).

Lot of talk about Slick's prowess at poker and the games they'd play back in the day (Former Star columnist Robin Miller was also at the interview adding some color and background to the stories).

Mentioned getting to the 2000 NBA Championship round with Pacers and Reggie (Slick being part of radio team) but getting there and not winning hurt.

Thinks if Danny Granger can get back at something close to 100% the Pacers have a really good shot at the championship.

Didn't mention brawl or really that era of Pacers at all.

Complimented this team and Vogel as coach.

Slick has a book out now so this was promoting the book.

Boom, Baby! should be arriving at my doorstep any day now,
and am hyped for a really great read!

What a facinating adventure of a life Slick has had, and some
of the stories he has to tell are pure gold.
