    Default Rasual Butler

Butler really helped the team last night off the bench. I think they will guarantee his contract in January.
I believe with the all in mentality this team has he should be playing before Johnson or Hill.
In the playoffs you need veterans.

Having another vet on the team is always a good idea (unless its Artest or Rasheed Wallace!)

I was happy to see him get some PT, and the article is right we are playing for right now so having someone like him who they can call on at any time is a necessity for a contenting team.

Who is Raual? Does he have anything to do with the movie "Eating Raoul"?

Actually, having MWP to beat up on Lebron for about 15 or 20 minutes a night wouldnt be a bad thing...and together with Lance, they could go all Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn or whatever it actually is on their asses...

It would be a very bad thing. This team keeps Lance pretty much in check. Add MWP and ..... well, let's just not.

Sounds like he's really a great mentor for the younger guys, which is a big part of why the FO picked him up. Somebody to embody the professionalism we want Lance/OJ/Solomon to have.
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

Definitely want Butler to keep getting minutes over OJ and Solo. He played really good last night, I was impressed.

He played a lot of minutes last night. I was kind of surprised.

Come playoffs, I don't see him getting minutes. Our rotation in the playoffs should look like this:

    Hill
    George
    Granger
    West
    Hibbert

    Bench:
    Watson
    Lance
    Scola
    Mahinmi
"So, which one of you guys is going to come in second?" - Larry Bird before the 3 point contest. He won.

Unless there is some financial or roster need to let him go.....I don't see why the Pacers wouldn't keep him. The roster is at 14 with him...and he's paid less than 900k. If Bird brought him in for a veteran presense, locker room guy, whatever......than why not keep him?

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

He will absolutely be on the roster. Regardless of whether he plays or not. I continuely read about how the love his presence in the locker room alone. And now hes getting PT. Rasual isnt going anywhere.

Didn't Quin and Chris say Butler would be playing in the game b4 it started b/c "Bird liked him"? With the way Copeland, S Hill, and OJ are playing it makes sense to give Butler an opportunity.

Rasual looked really good out there, I was very impressed with his all around court play. I thought he was washed up, but I was wrong. I think he is proving to a lot of doubters and I hope he keeps it up.

Larry is not coming back, he didn't have a meeting with Orlando for not reason, yeah he is coming back to the NBA but not to the Pacers, the notion that he is a taking a year off and then come back is absurd.

He is a great pick up with real NBA playoff experience and he has the ability to knock down contested shots. He's also a Bird guy and as Jalen Rose said, you'll be taken care of if you are one of Bird's guys.

If you feel that strongly about Butler, maybe you can use him to update your signature.
