Default DJ Augustine Becoming a Chicago Bull

    http://espn.go.com/chicago/nba/story...-provide-depth

Didn't see it posted here. I thought it was a little funny they think he can help. I might enjoy watching a player with no defensive ability try to play in Thibs defense.

The only thing better would be if he joined the Heat. Augustin is fortunate to be in the NBA.

He helped us past the Knicks last year.

Good move by the Bulls. He is way better than Derrick Rose.

So glad to have C.J. Watson this year, big improvement, but I hope Augustin does well for Chicago, seems like a good dude, and this is probably his last chance in the NBA so I hope he takes advantage of it

Glad to see DJ getting another opportunity. He didn't fit our defensive scheme but he did help us in the Knicks series (especially game 1). I wish him luck

Just like any other player with a healthy knee, right now

That said, best of luck to DJ, he wasn't cut for our team, but looked like a good guy.

There are many players in the NBA that fit very well in one system and look terrible in others. He simply did not fit here but he can be an asset, as mentioned he did help in the Knicks series and had several good games towards the end of the season last year. That being said I dont see how he will fit in Chicago.

He didn't fit our offensive scheme either. Or our professional level basketball scheme to be brutally honest.
    On the Lance bandwagon

I'm now trying to imagine a defensive scheme he would fit into.

Didn't he sign with the Raptors? They cut him loose that quickly?

After the Rudy Gay trade the Raptors had 16 players on their roster so they had to cut someone. They still chose to keep Julyan Stone and Dwight Buycks over him but it makes sense since they are younger and cheaper than him.

He wasn't bad in our offensive scheme either. He was able to hit the 3 out of a kick out. He just struggled a lot defensively which was not good for us.

Perfect scenario. I like the guy so I'm glad he gets a chance, but he's playing for a rival so we get to take advantage of him.

Struggled isn't the word for it. He was worse than Darren Collison on defense. Worse than Sarunas on defense. Also, Norris Cole completely shut down his ability to bring the ball up the court. If we had CJ Watson and Scola last year I would not be surprised if that were enough to get by Miami.

I see that "our defensive system" is the new "smashmouth" and what once was called "he can play team defense", interesting.

And regarding DJ I think he sucks I mean the guy was not even able to stick on a crappy team like the Raptors, it looks to me like Chicago is his last team lets see.

The "team defense" mantra makes me ill. Everyone played good "team defense" under JOb. Thank goodness we have moved on to "real defense". Afaic, a player is either a good defender or he should be traded.
