The team in general just has to make crisper passes. I realize you are susceptible to turnovers when you are trying to make entry passes into the post when the defense knows it is coming, but still--this has been an issue in this offense and we really have to tighten it up. Meaning everyone, not just West or PG or whoever.
Against the Heat, the Pacers do need to learn how to pass the ball more rapidly and move it from side to side. If they can move the ball, they can beat that trapping defense to death.
    LeWade are going down.

I'd say that is a fair criticism. F- is probably a little harsh for last nights performance so I guess if anything I'm guilty of lumping together his recent piece of work. Don't get me wrong I think he was still bad last night but in retrospect he may not have been as bad as he has been in recent games, which IMO have been horrendous.
I think the F- is pretty fair. I also think Ian has taken a step back. Statistically, he has clearly taken a solid step back. He's shot 35% from the floor as a big man playing against backups this year. Year before he was at 45%. In Dallas he was always over 50%. I just don't see the improvement and I don't see him stopping anyone.

He shot 0% from the floor and missed both his free throws last night. He's also not even a hindrance to LeBron James getting to the rack. I told my wife last night that if they put a 7 foot door in the lane it would defend better.

Likable guy, but Solomon Jones might be better. He is incredibly fortunate to get the pay check he is getting right now.
    LeWade are going down.

Something to like about Orlando Johnson even when his shot is not falling:

He is a physical player. He has no problem with contact offensively or defensively and he is good at getting contested rebounds. That's something that I appreciate.

I think he's a keeper. If he settles down and finds his comfort zone, he could be a solid backup SG.

Agreed. We just want him to get his shot back and we'll be good. It seems like his shooting has hit the rookie wall (even though he's not a rookie).

I just have to say that Roy Hibbert owns LeBron James. LeBron probably has nightmares of attempting to scale Mt. Hibbert and sliding on its icy peaks all the way to the ground. Will Greg Oden help LeBron? I guess we'll have to wait for that, but I think Granger coming back healthy enough will overcome that bump.

Disagree about Ian solid B would be my grade, he was good IMO.

How anyone could give him a F- is beyond me. Ian must of pissed in Peck's Wheaties.

Agree. I think some should maybe review the 2nd qtr. ive seen Mahnimi do the following:

Block to begin 2nd on birdman spurred fast break
Offensive rebound on free throw miss and good pass out to OJ who missed a 3
    Couple nice rebounds.

this is only midway through the second. he had some bad fouls but I can forgive that.

F- for a guy making 4M is harsh. very harsh.

I don't think mahinmi played significant in the 2nd half,,, but his 2qtr play was solid.

he has cut back on the bone headed plays but its gonna happen. I like the block on birdman, coulple good boards, solid pass out,,, the fouls were bad. but who cares.

the block out loose ball bobble foul was awful.

at 4M,,,, I do think the team had jetlag or whatever it is with the WC trip. that 1st half was brutal for a lot of players. DWest bouncing the ball off Hibberts face. George Hill airballing a FT. Hill looked awful for a min. All the pacers players looked like they were still in WC time zone.

I honestly felt we were lucky to be down only 7 at the half.

What should we expect from a center at 4M salary in order for him to receive a "B" in a game like this? I guess I don't expect Ian to really give more than he did tonite.

If he never finds his shot I feel the same way with him as I did with AJ. He has effort but we can do better.

I was and still happy to have Ian. He has been struggling this season, but I have to think he will get it together. Ian has been getting drilled by the refs this year, right or wrong, this has to have frustrated him. Acouple things I cherish about Ian, his quick feet and his overall athletic ability at 6'11". Benches around the league tend to be young and quicker feet and Ian has that, along with a great attitude. That's pretty hard to find around the league and that's why he gets paid 4mil per. I'm going to cross my fingers that he will be able to get it together sooner rather then later.

    Go Ian, Go Pacers!

This is really inventive. One of the things I like about Pacers Digest is that we have some people here who do some really nice things both writing and with videos.

It all comes down to him finding his shot again. If he does he will be a great contributor off the bench, if not he is gone after his contract is up.
