Thread: Pacers/Heat Postgame Thread 12/10/13

Nice win against the defending champs! A great comeback in the 3rd then held on until the final buzzer.

Our bigs really are the key against the Heat. Hopefully this game will give much more confidence to our boys to grab that homecourt advantage all throughout the playoffs.

Considering our travel schedule and how bad this game started... THIS WAS ONE HELL OF AN IMPRESSIVE VICTORY!!!

Miami players actually looked noticeably more tired than us by the end. Incredible!

    keys 2 the game

    1) choke sign 3 pt play to end the half

    2) lebron picks up his 3rd foul and spolstra elects to put allen on pg instead of bringing in wade. pg score 12 points in the 3rd with allen guarding him

Chalmers really needs to brush up on his flopping technique. He looked like a mackerel out there.

At least LeWade flops with the best of them.

Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

They looked demoralized.... and didn't shake hands.

It's too bad Miami's secret, anti-Hibbert weapon won't be available until the playoffs.

I really hope they rest Wade for the next 3 or 4 games after this and they lose a couple and the in house bickering starts, that would be glorious we'll have to beat them at home and just let the fact that we're 2 - 0 against them simmer for a while.

Very satisfying win...I enjoyed this one.

It's nice to see Paul George finally get some superstar calls.

Love the win. Make no mistake, that was like a playoff game. A lot of intensity and contact, double teaming George on most occasions when he had the ball etc. I think we showed some mental fortitude coming back into the game and finally winning it.

Roy by far the MVP of the match. Loved CJ's and West's contributions. PG had an awful first half but he came back much better in the second half and he also had to guard someone called James so for me it was a positive performance. Lance was not bad either nor his stat line.

Even though Miami had their usual run, I just "knew" we would adjust and bring the game back. It reminded me of the veteran Jackson, Miller, Davis, Smits teams almost...just with more athleticism lol.

Not a bad middle linebacker impression by D West at half court either.

Great win. Now they have some time off before Friday. Well-deserved after going 4-2 on one of the toughest 6 game stretches possible.

Great win for the Pacers. This and the Clippers game had playoff vibes.

    - Props to PG for manning up and earning the free throws when he couldn't get open on the perimeter.
    - Strong games by our bigs, as I hoped.
    - Mahinmi drives me crazy when he touches the ball. Why are his hands so terrible, even on rebounds? I do appreciate his underrated defense, though. He gets a lot of bad calls.
    - Practice passing out of a double team, please! Pivot and scan the floor instead of blinding throwing it to your strong side, which is what the defense wants.
