Thread: So if the Knicks blow it up...

Question So if the Knicks blow it up...

Who do you want from their roster next Summer if they blow it up? Outside of Melo, who'll most likely go to L.A. (Lakers) or Chicago. Or maybe Brooklyn? I think Shumpert would be awesome here. Also maybe Beno Udrih.

I liked Shumpert in the playoffs, but he has been weird this season.

I think our team would help his mentality, so he could be a steal, but still a wildcard.

He's weird because he hasn't really played in a long time. He played like 5 games in the playoffs against Indy? Guy hasn't played a full season since that playoffs series vs Miami when Amar'e punched the fire extinguisher. I think he needs time.

Shumpert is a great defender and probably a great fit. Just dunno if he is in our price range.

I hate that Myth he really is not. He is so undisciplined and bad fundamentals(off the ball he is awful). He has defensive potential, but in no way is he "a great defender".

I doubt we are a match for a Shumpert trade regardless.

Yeah not much cap flexibility here..
Great is a stretch ans I know he isn't there, but he is certainly a GOOD defender

I want nobody from the Knicks. We need to pay our guys first, particularly Lance.

Forgive me for not being overly excited about the prospect of taking on Knick rejects. If the putrid Knicks don't view a player as being worthy of keeping, then why would we want them on the Pacers?

We're already paying $3 million for a Knick castaway (Cope is living on Easy St.) who is contributing next to nothing. That's $3 million too much.

Here are a couple of Knicks I'd love to see in a Pacer uniform:

Outside of those guys, I can't think of anyone else.

JR Smith coming off the bench...we still dont have a scorer off the bench that we can count on. Scola is getting there but isnt quite there yet
"So, which one of you guys is going to come in second?" - Larry Bird before the 3 point contest. He won.

No. He sucks. Tim Hardaway JR is more efficient this year.

Shumpert can't shoot. I would take OJ over him. Beno can't play defense. I'd take Sloan over him. There is not one player outside of a healthy Tyson Chandler (on the cheap) that I want.

Hardaway Jr would be nice to have, I would really like to know why the Pacers decided to pass on him, he is going to be nice.

I really wanted the Pacers to draft Hardaway Jr.

Yeah, I forgot about Hardaway Jr. when I made my above post. I would have rather had him too. Plus it would have been cool to see him follow in his father's footsteps by playing for the Pacers.

With all due respect, I can't believe you actually wrote those words. I'd rather reactivate Billy Keller.

I'd agree we should get JR....

IF, we didn't see him vanish in the post-season last playoff, and also...he has had 2 knee surgeries now. I don't think he's done, but he is not what we need for sure.

The Knicks have 2 of my least favorite players in the nba in JR Smith and Martin. No way Larry would ever bring in Smith. I just want to see this team return with as few changes as possible next year.

Players like JR Smith are not conducive to winning championships.

    I'd rather have Chris Smith.

Yeah this is turning into a dump on JR Smith/the Knicks thread.
