Really need that game on Tuesday night.

Also, Oklahoma City hit more jump shots in tonight's game than in an entire week's worth of practices.

On the bright side, Pacers were over .500 on probably the toughest road trip anyone will see this year...and the Colts clinched the division/playoffs :P

What's crazy is that both squads got blown out, yet there's was a bright side to following both games.

We looked out of gas and stunk. However, still a successful road trip. Paul George also had another very good game, a telling sign of a superstar, bringing it every night.

The Colts suck against teams outside the woeful AFC South and the Thunder have the Pacers number.

Neither team was competitive on the road against good competition.

To be honest, I'm not too worried about this blowout. We played 3 of the top Western Conference teams in probably the most brutal 5 game road trip. I'm proud of these guys to come out with only 2 losses, one being a very close one in Portland. They just need to remember that being #1 overall, EVERYBODY is giving us their best. This will build our character in the long run. That was maybe the hardest part of the schedule and we came out fine, IMO.

On a side note, all of our losses have been on a 2nd night of a back-to-back on the opponents floor.

It's a terrible loss, but don't take too much from this game. It's a tough back-to-back against 2 of the top teams in the West. Not that it's an excuse, but obviously it's hard to win on the road in a back-to-back against the tough teams of the West. Just give credit to the OKC Thunder for the lights out shooting that sealed the win for them.

When the backcourt sucks, the Pacers are very beatable. What's worse than missing the shots is not taking the shots, and Lance and Hill have been hesitant lately. It leads to broken plays or 3 second violations usually.

PG is damn good though, initially I was fearful of seeing the Durant is miles ahead of Paul thread starting, but then Paul had a good 2nd half. This was a worse case scenario because against OKC, the only huge advantage the Pacers have is Hibbert, and on a second of back to backs on the road, he just didn't have the energy needed.

Ibaka can slow West, Westbrook can clamp Hill, and Durant did good enough on Lance.

For me personally I don't put too much stock in back-to-back games especially on the road, it's something you will never ever see during the playoffs.

It was a bad sign when the Pacers TV people couldn't make it to the building.

well, we went 3-2 on the toughest road trip we will face this season. beat the clips, jazz and spurs. lost those 2nd of back 2 backs against 2 of the 3 best teams in the west.
i saw several got a bit unhinged with tonight's game. i know i am likely wasting keystrokes here but, the season is LONG one. we won more than we lost on this trip. they just looked gassed out there..... almost as if they hadn't gotten rest and the other team did.
sure, it would have been nice to see a better performance but over the course of the season, there will be disappointing games and this was one.
remember folks, no matter how bad they beat us tonight, it was ONLY one loss and not some 10 game losing streak.

Begin by saying that this was a very successful road trip given the comp.

Just isolating this game, though, it would be nice to see some fire before halftime (i.e. before we're on the verge of being blown out). Both teams on back to backs, so no excuse there. You get everyone's best every night...and that's no excuse. If you want to be the top dog, you've got to accept getting everyone's top effort.

Now, time to go home, regroup, and take out the Heat.

They are better defensively than I thought. Playing them on tired legs was difficult.
We just couldn't stay in their face. Always a half step slow on both ends of the court.

We love those threes too much and sometimes do not play to our strengths.
That's both team exhaustion, and inexperience by our ball handlers.
It takes a lot of extra effort to body up on both sides of the court.
A tired guy quickly convinces himself that an easy J is "just as good".

We need to always play inside out.

The depth, experience, and shooting, that Danny Granger brings will be a relief.

In addition to inside out (if that means throw in in the post first), we also need to be more aggressive early taking the ball to the rim some. Not an easy task against OKC, but I felt like that was even more ignored than the post up.

That was an awful game, obviously. We have to put this game behind us and bounce back against Miami.

I consider the overall road trip to be a success but we have to hold serve at home for the trip to be an official success.

Yeah, let's just forget about the 49ers, Seahawks, Broncos, Spurs, Clippers, etc. Why do you do this to yourself?? No team is going to go 82-0, or no team 16 months after having the #1 pick in the NFL draft is going undefeated on the way to the Super Bowl. Why set up impossible expectations? The Colts are an extremely young team with a ton of holes that have unexpectedly won 19 games the last two years. The Pacers just lost their third game in game number 21. Things are good my friend. Slow down and enjoy it. It won't last forever.

I think the consensus was that going 3 & 3 on the road trip plus Miami would be a success. Now I just want 4 & 2 by taking down the Heat in a statement game. If I had to pick the second loss to be against the Thunder or the Spurs I would have picked the Thurnder. It's not a big deal.

I usually hate to say this, but I agree, the Southwest weather has been pretty bad the last 3-5 days.

Meh. Pack it up, take it home, get ready for Miami. No excuses for bringing anything less than an A+ game vs the Heat now, that's for sure.
