No one good has ever signed to play for Toronto. Not only do they pay income tax in Canada, they also pay in the US. They will have a bigger disadvantage as anyone. They won't get Melo. They won't get Lebron.

The best they can do is tank and get a franchise player. Then maybe they won't lose them like McGrady, Carter, and Bosh. But I doubt. And the freaking NBA wants Euro teams? No one will want to play there if they are getting hit twice.

Exactly. I read somewhere that the U.S. is the only OECD country that makes citizens pay U.S. income tax earned abroad when that is their primary source of income (aka they are expats). The only real option for the players would be to renounce their U.S. citizenship, but even then you have to pay a big fine and its really not a reasonable option for most people.
    Already stoked for 2013-2014.

Kings beat the Mavs handily last night. Put up 112. Cousins had 30+, so did Derrick Williams who they got from Minnesota. I. Thomas also had 24. So you add Rudy Gay to that mix, and they are built for Western Conference ball. They're gonna try and flat out, outscore people. If McLemore reaches his full potential, they're gonna be dangerous. They will probably get a good pick this year as well. Also don't forget, they can still package that pick, along with Thornton (SG), and Jimmer (PG) for another piece. Kings are right now slotted 4th in 2014 mocks to get PG Marcus Smart from Oklahoma State.

Rudy Gay Requests Refund On Tickets He Purchased Before Trade
RUDY GAY REQUESTS REFUND ON TICKETS HE PURCHASED BEFORE TRADEs

Rudy Gay was traded from the Toronto Raptors to the Sacramento Kings on Sunday in a deal that involves seven players. In fact he found out about the trade before he was to hit the floor with the Raptors to take on the Lakers in the game that showcased the return of Kobe Bryant.

Gay, who is making $17 million this season, had previously purchased tickets for his friends and family for last nights game. According to NBA Insider Sam Amick, when Gay learned of his trade, none of his people attended the game and he asked for a refund.

This is the second time that Gay has been traded this year. He was traded to Toronto back in January and was expected to be a huge part in the rebuilding of the Raptors franchise. Apparently, that ship has sailed. So, now he’ll go play in Sacramento alongside Demarcus Cousins. Let’s see if minority owner Shaquille O’Neal can encourage Gay and Cousins to give the Kings the best basketball they’ve got.

You guys think DJ gets picked up by an NBA squad?

Waived by the Raptors, I'd say he's bound for Europe.
Looks as though the Bulls are taking a look
