Rudy Gay Requests Refund On Tickets He Purchased Before Trade
RUDY GAY REQUESTS REFUND ON TICKETS HE PURCHASED BEFORE TRADEs
Rudy Gay was traded from the Toronto Raptors to the Sacramento Kings on Sunday in a deal that involves seven players. In fact he found out about the trade before he was to hit the floor with the Raptors to take on the Lakers in the game that showcased the return of Kobe Bryant.
Gay, who is making $17 million this season, had previously purchased tickets for his friends and family for last nights game. According to NBA Insider Sam Amick, when Gay learned of his trade, none of his people attended the game and he asked for a refund.
This is the second time that Gay has been traded this year. He was traded to Toronto back in January and was expected to be a huge part in the rebuilding of the Raptors franchise. Apparently, that ship has sailed. So, now he’ll go play in Sacramento alongside Demarcus Cousins. Let’s see if minority owner Shaquille O’Neal can encourage Gay and Cousins to give the Kings the best basketball they’ve got.
