You have to always expect a win but do not get upset with a loss if it is a hard fought game.

It would certainly be nice to win in San Antonio for a change.

Another tough game for George Hill against his former mentor T Parker. Hill must make a game of it. Be aggressive. Make ol' Tony play D. Slow him down on offense. Take away his drives and limit his passing angles as much as possible.

Lance should be able to get away from Green sometimes for good drives. He can NOT EVER forget to stay with Green on the perimeter.

Leonard is a good defender. Best plan would be to Have PG lull him to sleep early while we get the big fella's established then bring it in the second half.
Do NOT start trying to "shoot your way out" of anything. Take open looks when you get them, but if you go 2 for 9 from outside we're toast.

Battle up front. Rebound the ball! We've slipped in this department this year and it's not like our offense has been so stellar that we can be complacent here.
Roy has tremendous respect for Tim. Rightly so. Today is NOT the time to bow down in admiration. Make the master look old. Beat him to the spots. I want to see Roy get 2 blocks on him today. Make Dunc' proud of his protege!

BAMF must use his strength against their length. fake um'. Get them in foul trouble. Draw the D and Pass out. West's veteran savvy is just the thing we need to pull this out.

They have good depth at the wing spots. Belinelli can score and Manu may well find a way to exploit who ever we use against him. We are going to need someone to step up in that second unit to keep it close.
Our starters have a chance to make a lead. We can not let them come back in with little rest to keep from getting blown out. Scola should be able to score. He can not do it alone. If we can get 8-10 points from CJ or Cope or Pulp then we may be able to hold on and keep the starters spirits up.

    Play smart!
    Avoid long droughts!
    Work it inside.
Make a lot of free throws.
Do NOT get baffled and settle for lazy J's

I believe the streak ends tonight.
Pacers win by about 4 points.

We haven't won in San Antonio since the 01-02 season when they were still playing at the Alamodome. Hell, we haven't beat the Spurs period since April 1, 2007. Talk about an April Fool's. That was the year that SA won their last championship. Also, it was the year that the Pacers had the awful collapse after the hideous Dunleavy-Murphy trade and missed the playoffs for the first time since 1997. Looks like we beat them by a point. At first, I thought that surely they must have benched a couple of their great players for some late season rest, but sure enough Duncan/Manu/Parker all played. The immortal Ike Diogo channeled his inner Dwight Howard and went off for 18 pts and 13 rebounds in that game lol. That was maybe the biggest April Fool's prank in history. For that one magical unforgettable night, the acquisitions of Dunleavy/Murphy/Diogo made us world beaters. The deadly trio combined for 59 points.

Anyone else remember that brutal OT loss down there a decade ago in the 61 win season?

I will be at the game sitting by the visitors bench... Hopefully Lord Scola will wave hello to me again.

    12/27/2005 at Spurs - SamBear - 3

    1/2/2008 vs Memphis - SamBear - 19

4/9/2014 - Luis Scola also recorded a season high with 24 points and Evan Turner added 23 for Indiana.

Dunleavy/Tinsley/Murphy combined for 61 in that game.
    Dunleavy/Tinsley/muprhy/Diogu got 79
    Dunleavy/Tinsley/Murphy/Diogu/Granger got 95

Anyways, Dunleavy and Murphy were never terrible offensive players. Dunleavy averaged 19ppg one season for a reason, and Murphy could shoot. They were just 1 or 1.5(Dunleavy was pretty decent at making cuts) dimensional offensive players. They just couldn't really create for themselves. Tinsley having 8 assists and Armstrong with 6 probably tells you all you need to know about how they scored.

Diogu scoring 18 though, yeah that is just a joke. I think that was the game that made me think that he had some potential. Turned out it was just a fluke, and I imagine probably the best game of his career.
