Default NBA League Pass is free...

....for this week (1/24-1/30), so I can now watch the Boston Game from the living room instead of going to some smoke-filled sports bar.

    to those in Canada.

I moved to Austin from Houston, so I didn't think I'd get to watch the return of Steve Francis tonight........until now (apparently without T-Mac).

It had always sounded nice, but I really got hooked after my sister switched to satellite shortly before last year's free week, where I got to sit there one night and experience it. I was hooked.

I have it this year and plan to keep it. I love having all the games at my fingertips, even to just casually flip through them as I usually do.

I have to say it's really lessened how important ESPN/TNT games feel to me.

Err what do you have to do to be able to view it? I went through all my channels and I can't see it. I have Sigecom cable.

I think the operative word here is probably "cable".

No I have it on Brighthouse, and my folks have it on Comcast. Not all cable systems carry it.

Has to be digital cable, not "regular" cable.

I'm going to order the rest of the season for the mid-season rate of $109. I was just getting ready to order it for the whole year when the brawl happened, and I wasn't too excited about watching the Pacers for a couple of weeks, even though they were playing well at first. I guess I was just pissed off that the whole thing happened. So I figured I'd wait until the price came down. It's great though. Watched Heat/Sixers, Cavs/Wizards, and Spurs/Blazers last night. Weird that all the underdog teams won last night, seems like it anyway. Only bad thing is that living in Ohio, the Cavs and LeBron are blacked out most of the time, unless they happen to be on FSN Ohio, which is only about once every 3 or 4 games seems like.

Nope, it's Time Warner Cable, not Dish or Directv. If I had a dish I wouldn't need the league pass to watch the Pacers. I'd just have to have the sports pack because the Pacers claim my territory as well. (I live 2 miles from the Ohio/Indiana line, on the Ohio side, but I grew up in Cambridge City, which is near New Castle) The blackout rules are different for cable and satellite, apparently. Since there's no other way to get the Pacers (because there is no sports pack with cable) they don't black them out on the league pass. I think. Or something like that.

I get the sports pack for the 2 games a year that it is the only way to see them. Seems like a waste of money unless you have become adicted to watching every single game.

I checked my Dish last night, and it wasn't free. WTF is going on?
Just because you're offended, doesn't mean you're right.” ― Ricky Gervais.

What if someone from a school of business or management school were to ask, How did you do this? How did you get the Pacers turned around? Is there a general approach you've taken that can be summarized?

    Larry Bird: Yeah, patience.

    No doubt.

I live in LA, so all I get is Lakers and Clips games, night after night. And no, bars won't even put one tv on the Pacers.

Gotta get the dish one of these days.

Yes, our sports bars like to show 24/7 coverage of the NHL Lockout...even if there is a game on (which is rare). So watching 5 hockey analysts sitting down at a table, ON MUTE is better than watching a basketball game.
