It's the NBA, teams lose games, Portland is a pretty damn good team, nothing to be ashamed of.

HOLY **** PG though, almost had the Reggie moment, he was insane though.

I have a good feeling Utah is going to be getting a lot of anger on Wednesday.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

    ----------------- Reggie Miller

Refs had very little to do with it. Vogel left a lineup on the floor for too long that had no chance against Portland on the perimeter. By the time he fixed it the damage was done.
    This.

    This is ultimately it.

That being said, I LOVED that effort from Paul George. He is putting himself closer and closer to the category that only LeBron James and Kevin Durant are in.

We may have lost the game, but I'm guessing we won a lot of Pacer/Paul George fans tonight. If the game had been 3 points closer Paul George would have won it for us. He's a superstar. There's no doubt about it.

Portland has a great team. It would be a great finals matchup between these two teams.

It's only December and I just saw one if the best regular season games of my life... Two great teams and we came up on the wrong side of it tonight. Can these two teams play again tomorrow?

See, in these types of games we need Danny. I liked our effort, and George's hero ball kept us in the game, but it just wasn't enough.
    Can we stop.

Danny is done. He hasn't been on this team in nearly 2 years now. I am done waiting for him and am tired of hearing about him. I love Granger, I love what he did here, and I don't blame him for getting injured. I blame the Pacers PR team for constantly letting us think he is coming back soon. I am done hearing about him. Please, can we just talk about players who have actually put effort into games this season.

This game is starting to make me think this team can't win a championship. We can't get the calls against the Portland Trailblazers. How do we expect to get them against Miami or San Antonio.
We got them against Miami in the ECF. RELAX. We've lost TWO games.

Absolutely. This is the game Danny could have helped us win. We need him for the playoffs.

Folks, this was a very good basketball game! I want the Pacers to win every game, but that's impossible in the NBA.

Lance has got to mature, a game this bad is not acceptable for an NBA starter.
Watsons defense has got to improve. He scored pretty well tonight but we were -13 tonight with him because he can't run our offense and his D was bad

Roy and Scola had some faults. But for the most part this loss falls on those two guys and Vogel for using them so much.

Yep, a healthy Danny would have been nice when Lance got fouled out.....
Give the ball to your best playmakers to win

No we didn't. Game 3 was horribly officiating and that set the tone for the entire series.

watching paul nail that corner three then steal that inbound away and lineup for another three got me up out of the chair I have never seen anyone other than reggie do that, granted reggie hit the second one and it was in a much more pressure packed situation but holy **** I'm gonna go to bed tonight dreaming about that sequence it was so sweet

On another note: is this a career high for PG? That last minute point outburst was Reggie-esque.

On another note: the Blazers are the only team right now to beat both the top teams in the East (IND) and West (SA). It's nice to have less-hyped teams at the top of the standings.

+16 free throw discrpency doesn't hurt your chances either half were ticky tack fouls and the ones against roy for getting kicked in the nuts twice were inexcusable should be sending some tape to the league after that debacle

Just to put Paul George's performance in perspective.

    43 points on 30 shots.

Reggie miller NEVER took more than 29 shots in a game in his entire career. In that game, Reggie scored 57 points.

But this was the most Milleresque game from a Pacer that I have seen since Reggie.

when you factor in the fact that paul always seems to wind up with the ball at the ends of quarters for them halfcourt heaves 30 shots doesn't seem that bad at all and considering he still managed to hit 16 of those I'd be fine if he took 30 more lol

yep, he ran west and roy too long during a stretch. there were several plays where west was practically crawling back up the court and frank kept him in there still. and roy was also huffin and puffin during the same time. those guys being exhausted like they were allowed portland to get several extra possessions cause they were too tired to get the rebounds.
