We know the Colts' are loading up with talent on the offensive side of the ball and are trying to get by with a patchwork defense of young (read: inexpensive) players.
I will state up front I think that is a mistake (defense wins championships) so this question has some bias to it...
Do the Colts create an even bigger monster by developing this hype filled high-powered offense? By that I mean, you set up these guys to be stars and stars cost money. Stars have bargaining power. Have the Colts created a vicious cycle where they will never be able to address the defense because they are addicted to this offense... and it will continue to eat up more salary as these offensive guys just get more popular (and seemingly important to the team)?
