    Default Week 12: @ Cardinals

It's going to be a trap game if we don't focus. This could be a SD/STL kind of game. Have to start fast and cover Fitzgerald. If we establish a run game, ARZ is in trouble. We should be able to control the clock in the second half

Cards aren't a bad team. Arians is gonna have a few tricks up his sleeve. It's in Arizona.

We could lose this game. I don't do scores though. Pointless, lol.
There are two types of quarterbacks in the league: Those whom over time, the league figures out ... and those who figure out the league.

It will be interesting to see the match between Pagano and Arians. Arians obviously knows the Colts and especially Luck very well. He will try to throw him off. This isn't going to be an easy game. The Cardinals are solid and it's on the road. I'll be very very impressed if the Colts win this game to go to 8-3.

I have a bad feeling about this game. Though, historically, we usually beat Arizona. Have to start fast this game

Yeah not feeling us winning this game. West coast and a bad start on the road here is going to make life difficult. Zona's defense is pretty good

TE Justice Cunningham to the active roster from the practice squad. Griff Whalen waived. That's 4 active TEs, I don't get it.

Cunningham isn't particularly tall or fast, measuring 6'3" and running a 4.8 forty time. He is very strong and can break tackles but isn't athletic enough to be a premier pass catcher like Antonio Gates and Jimmy Graham have become. His strength is blocking and he is one of the best blocking tight ends in the country. He had a role somewhat similar to Richard Gordon except he was in on nearly every play and not solely utilized as a blocker. He has Gordon's level of blocking skills but is a far better receiver. His lack of size will hurt him but in a power running attack his blocking ability will be most beneficial.

Sounds like they're trying to get pieces to keep this power running game moving smoothly.

Einstein's definition of crazy is starting to sound pretty accurate.

What if someone from a school of business or management school were to ask, How did you do this? How did you get the Pacers turned around? Is there a general approach you've taken that can be summarized?

    Larry Bird: Yeah, patience.

**** yeah. More TE's. Pep's wet dream. I also hope their best ability is at blocking and not catching the ball. God forbid we have a receiver that can catch it. We don't want that. No, hell no.

Interesting that they kept Da'Rick Rogers over Griff Whalen. Rogers hasn't played a snap yet. We knew what we had in Whalen.

Whalen looked good both years in preseason. Had the injury last year. Did not do much to impress this season though with opportunity.

We got to double down on the power running game! We can have even more TEs out there so the defense knows that we are running and TRich can get tackled for no game!

What I expect is the Cards to be up at half time after we throw away a half trying this power run game crap and then after half time they will get this bright idea like always to give the ball to our best player and hope Luck can pull another victory from his ***.

I understand them wanting to be more balance, but I feel like we are going to far the other way and forgetting for long portions of the game that our best player is Andrew Luck. Hopefully we do not do this because if we start slow the Cards are a good team that could run away with it.

Pretty much. There's about two dozen Griff Whalens sitting on the couch right now. Of course, there's probably even more Justice Cunninghams.

I just want to see Da'Rick get more playing time. If that means we have to pick up another tight end (one will probably be on the inactive list anyway), then so be it.

I thought Cunningham was a preseason standout as well. I'd rather have him than Saunders.

I don't see the concern really, split Fleener out to do what he does best and keep Saunders or whoever in to block...

We also have nothing but a useless player in Reed yet he's still part of this team.

Maybe this is why we added Cunningham to the roster:

Toler living up to the injury-prone rep that preceded him here. Unfortunate. Their D is tough, especially on the run. Their offense, on the other hand, is shaky. But they way our D is playing lately, I'm not sure we can take advantage.
