I love that the Pacers are 12-1....but I also think that the schedule is a little easier than I thought:

9-4 with a current record of .500 or less
6 of our 13 games have been on the road

I seem to recall that many of our games involved playing Teams that had many key injuries. I know that we've played 3 games without GH ( Granger not playing doesn't count for me since he's essentially been out for 1+ seasons )....but admittedly...I think that we've had an easier route than some ( but not all ).

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

You could go back through each game and grade how each of our opponents played against us.

The game the Nets played against us was their best game of the season. The game the Bulls beat us was their best game of the season. The game the Knicks played against us was one of their better games.

Magic played pretty well opening night. NO played well for a half against us. Cavs played about average for them. Pistons? I missed the first half, so i am not sure overall. Raptors were not very good against us. Grizzlies not good. Bucks were average for them. Celtics shot the ball very well - pacers played a great second half. Sixers played a good game against us.

My only point is instead of looking to see who was out, I think it is more worthwhile to see how the opponents played against us. Seems like overall more teams than not played above their average against us.

We always dicusss how the pacers played, but the opponent also has a play range,

Pacers are just really good. But like always in the NBA the difference between the Bucks and Spurs is huge.

When you win the games your suppose to even though you could have played better, that is great.
When you win your back-to-backs, that is great.
When you win all but one game on the road, that is great.

What could be better? Beating the Heat. Beating the Heat. Beating the Heat. Beating the Heat.

Not fools gold. Anybody can beat anybody in the NBA. Every single roster is basically stacked with talent. The rebuilding teams have young guys out to prove they belong in the league.

I think we'll really be able to tell how good this team is after this upcoming West Coast trip. There's no question we are improved, but that trip should show just how much.
Yeah. I hope if the team comes back from that trip having gone 1-4, or 2-3, that fans don't start getting all goofy looking for scapegoats as to why it happened.

I'm just going to "enjoy the ride"... Might be a phrase that I'll be saying a lot in regards to this season.

This thread title should be changed to 13-1.

Anytime anyone brings up the schedule (which very few have), just mention how the Heat have lost to the Bobcats, Nets, and Celtics and ask them if they still think the Heat are a good team.

Larry is not coming back, he didn't have a meeting with Orlando for not reason, yeah he is coming back to the NBA but not to the Pacers, the notion that he is a taking a year off and then come back is absurd.

The thing that gets overlooked when discussing opponent W/L: If you're an Eastern team not named "Indiana" or "Miami", your opponent W/L is terrible, because the East is terrible.

    What? We are 14-1!

Enjoy the record for now. This upcoming road trip will be a great test. I hope we play up to our potential and don't get frazzled with a couple losses.

I think regardless of our opponents records, going 14-1 in the National Basketball Association is a remarkable and very difficult achievement.
