- Nick FriedellPORTLAND, Ore. -- Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose injured his right knee during the third quarter of Friday night's game against the Portland Trail Blazers.
The team announced he will not return.
Rose was taken to the locker room at the end of the third quarter, barely putting any weight on the injured leg. Assistant trainer Jeff Tanaka and Bulls director of sports medicine Jen Swanson escorted him back to the locker room.
Rose tore the ACL in his left knee in April of 2012 and missed all of last season while recovering from reconstructive knee surgery.
