Yes, that is some delicious pie. I grew up in that area and it has always been one of my favorites.

Well, like everything in life it is subjective, but I just googled best frozen pizza and this is the second time Home Run Inn has come up #1. From Consumer Reports no less.

I went out and got one recently to try. It still sucks (for me anyway)

Thanks for trying anyway It all goes back to that subjective thing. I'm eating one right now and I love it.

Anyone else every have Hungry Howie's. I think there is still one at 96th and Allisonville. Unique thing with them is you could put spices in your crust before they baked it. I used to get their thin crust and some spice that made it really spicy. Wasn't that good, but something different
Hungry Howie's was all over Kent\Akron\NE Ohio. I liked the ranch flavored crust.

I didn't care for it(I prefer it to Papa John's though) but I gotta prop them up for being the official Pizza of Kent State Athletics.

I used the PACERS90 promo code for Papa Johns yesterday. That is where you get a large pizza (up to 5 toppings I think) for $9 when the Pacers scored at least 90 points the previous day. I got a pepperoni with extra sauce and it was delicious. Everything was very fresh and tasty. It was as good as a mainstream chain pizza could be, IMO. Papa John's is brilliant with all of these sports promo codes. During Colts season, enter COLTS50 any day after a Colts win and you get 50% off of any order. Great deal.

The thing I don't like about Papa John's is I feel like they over do it on cheese and crust.

Yeah, that's why I do the extra sauce option. It mitigates the proportion of the cheese. It's certainly not the best pizza in the world, but I think it's a pretty good value when you use their very generous coupons.

Over do it on cheese? Is that even possible? More cheese the better in my world.

I like balance, but I'm one of those people who would prefer that the pizza be more tilted towards sauce than cheese if I had to choose. I like a balanced pizza, I like a saucy pizza, but I'm not a huge fan of pies that have so much cheese to the point that they are gooey. Then again, I never get cheese on a hamburger, so I kind of have a bizarre relationship with cheese.

I love cheese but dislike pizzas that are overly cheesy. I like the taste of the veggies and sauce and crust as well

I like pizza so much I couldn't even pick my favorite part. I like the sauce, cheese, and crust equally well. Only thing that can ruin a pizza for me are exotic toppings. No pineapple, anchovies, black olives, mexican stuff, BBQ sauce or even chicken on my pizza. And definitely no tomatoes or pickles. Papa John's...what are you thinking?

The Pacers90 promo that they always advertise sucked me in. Plus there was gross weather yesterday and there is literally a Papa Johns right by where I live. $9 for a large pizza is a great deal and I thought it was some quality pie. Definitely better than the most recent Pizza Hut or Dominoes that I've had. I think that Papa Johns had stepped their game up recently.

I wasn't putting down Papa John's or your selection. I haven't had Papa John's in a long time but I remember it being pretty good. I was referring to Papa's new Double Cheeseburger Pizza where they put pickles on a pizza. Thanks but no thanks on that idea. Otherwise, I've been thinking about ordering a Papa John's for a while now.

Mostly agree, but I really do like mexican style pizzas. The Chilope pizza at Bazbeaux is one of my favorites

Gotcha. You should definitely take advantage of the PACERS90 promo sometime soon. I agree, I like my pizza kind of simple too. It's funny, I love trying all sorts of different foods and I don't think that there is an ethnic or exotic group of food that I don't like, but when it comes to pizza I like to just keep it simple. Pepperoni is all I need.

I think the biggest problem with pizza is too much cheese.

Can you tell I'm a fan of black olives on a pizza?

I don't disagree, but let's not act like PJ's uses grade A Mozz here. That stuff is super processed.

I always do the extra sauce on Papa Johns, but I haven't done the light cheese option with it yet.

    Four words:

    Mother Bear's Divine Swine.

Bloomington probably has the best pizza places I've ever been to. If you haven't had Mother Bear's, you haven't had pizza. (Aver's, Mad Mushroom, Pizza X, etc.)

Honorable Mention: Aver's Cream and Crimson.

"Alfredo sauce and cheese are blanketed with a layer of oven-roasted red potato seasoned with fresh garlic and dill. Topped off with bacon, cheddar, and creamy gorgonzola cheese."

Worst? Little Caesar's Hot-N-Ready. However, I will eat it if I have a five in my wallet and need something quick.

Not really a major chain, but there used to be a lot of Jack's Pizza in Indy. Had some tonight for the first time in a while. It tastes the same as when I was a kid. It's very underrated and I wish there were more of them around. (I'm posting this in the middle of the Pacers/Pistons game because it's hard to watch these guys right now).
