At Minny I would chalk up as a loss. I give the Pacers the edge because they are at home.

If you get blown out and outhustled from the tip then there is legitimate cause for concern.

In our two games with the Bulls, we're +1 in point differential, even after this slaughter... And our record is significantly better.

Maybe it's just me, but for me, I did not enjoy that game very much. Lance and PG did not play up to their abilities tonight, and that was the early difference. Rose was jacking threes up like Gerald Green, you know, except making them. Whenever we had even a little momentum going, they'd hit a three in our faces, which, in my opinion, is the worst place to be hit by a three.

I'm disappointed in the result, but I'd have taken 9-1 in the first ten before the season started. Remember folks, don't get too high after a win, or after a loss.

Its my fault guys. Because I actually was awake and moving for the first time on a Saturday morning in literally six months, I listened to Pacers Weekly on 107.5 FM.

PG is only 9-33 from the field against the Bulls so far. That won't cut it.

It was a bad loss, but we just blew them out ourselves a week and a half ago. It's the NBA. You can't ever put too much stock in any one game. Every team is going to get blown out at times, even the best ones. We are 1-1 against them. Seems about right.

Honestly, who is really going to remember this game in February or May?

IMO, tonight was like a low level version of game 7 ecf last season.

Our guys knew it was going to be a War, and it got to them a bit. I'm glad this happened now, so hopefully we can move past it and learn to mentally prepare for this environment next time.

Our killer instinct is not QUITE there yet. It's shown flashes though.

The Bulls actually had the lead in the fourth quarter in the first game. Tonight's game was over midway through the second quarter. It worries me that the Pacers can't seem to match their intensity.

Bulls picked the wrong night to break out of their shooting slump, The Pacers picked the wrong night to shoot and play poorly. Fortunately it's a long season!

Fair point. Hopefully we were simply guilty of buying a bit too much into our own hype. This should light a fire under our a** and wake us up. But these losses inevitably happen to every team in the league over the course over a long season.

The Bulls are going to be tough all season, no doubt about it.

How the Pacers finish this road trip will reveal a lot about them- was the Chicago loss a fluke or are the Pacers not as good as we all thought?

Now that this run is over, it is time to start another one. Hopefully it will be longer than 9 games.

I heard it said that the Bulls win a lot of games because they always play with the same intensity, and when the playoffs roll around they just don't have another gear to switch to in order to get over the hump. I think the Pacers have another gear; unfortunately, they downshifted tonight.

I think this game further hammered home the importance of getting home court in the playoffs. I don't think we can eliminate Chicago without home court, let alone Miami.

Ok, let's focus on something positive now.

Copeland had a good game. Apart from the 3s, he had a nice drive that earned a trip to the line, a good drive and dish and a nice floater. Rebounding is still a problem for him but he seems to try at least. Defensively, he had two good plays but most of the time Gibson overpowered him.

Do we all agree that Cope was good tonight?

I am not scared of the Bulls in a seven game series in the least.

    Sorry, I'm just not.

As I said earlier, this game was the definition of a statistical outlier, to the point where it was almost funny (if it wasn't so upsetting as a fan)

In a seven game series, we advance past Chicago. Not in 4 or even 5, but we advance.

I don't know why people think the Pacers are going to win every game. It's just silly talk, this isn't football. Pacers didn't play well, Bulls played about as good as they could, they won.

Going to lose a lot more games during the season, can't go crazy.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

I have to admit, there was a moment there after Cope drained the second cold-blooded 3 in like 20 seconds that I honestly thought we had a chance to creep back into the game.

Unfortunately, our defense did not step up as our offense did late.

Cope is a bit of a liability on the block against strong forwards, as we saw.

However, when he is hitting his 3's, or taking it strong to the basket when defenders close on him too hard, he is dangerous out there.

I would love to see him take 100% of Solo's minutes. That's not a knock on Solo, I just think Cope can help us more.

You basically decide what you want on the court. You want offense or defense? Solo plays good D and can rebound. Cope can provide an offensive spark. You pick who to play depending on your need.
