Don't worry, when Granger finally returns to practice then I'm sure this will get back on topic. Of course we're probably looking at January (maybe) for that to happen.

I don't mean to be insulting or anything.........but, do we really need to look at all these stats when we can simply watch the games to see how willing a player is to pass the ball?

Seems like we tend to complicate things sometimes when there is a simpler way. No stat is going to tell you how many times a player missed a chance to pass to an open team-mate, or how many times a player did not pass because no one was open. Only observation will tell you that. Even then, we don't know if the player himself saw the coverage, or lack of coverage.

Of course, if a person has a pre-determined opinion of a player, neither stats nor observation are going to change that.
We don't really need to look at all these stats to say that. But when a person has a biased opinion about a player then we should post these stats in order to let him know that he is being biased.

But after this discovery or admission, it seems that some have now shifted from a Lance-Danny debate towards Danny bashing. It might be time to look in the mirror. Just sayin'.
In reality, it never was a Lance vs Danny debate for some people. Some people just used it as a way to bash Danny and that's a sad truth.

I think Granger can play a Manu or Crawford type role off the bench when he's healthy. He's not going to chuck up shots as soon as he returns, but we shouldn't hide him at the corner three spot either - the guy needs the ball at the top of the key.
I don't think that Danny can play such a role. Manu and Crawford are both much more talented passers than him. Danny should play off the ball, imo. He should be used as a finisher and not as a creator.

I agree with the guard comparisons, but Granger is a very good shooter above the break. We would be better off having him shoot from the top and send our guards to the corner. I could see us running him on zipper cuts and off flare screens to get him open along the perimeter.

In the rotation that we are currently using, lance sits at the 6 minute mark. Paul sits at the quarter break with Lance coming back in. So for the first 6-8 minutes of the second quarter, I want Lance with the ball at the top running plays with Luis, and Danny in one corner and CJ in the other corner. Run variations of this for six solid minutes.

Yeah, that's true. He is a really good shooter above the break and running him on zipper cuts and off flare screens has proved beneficial in the past. I just don't want us to use him as a creator on the top of the key.

Lance will certainly be our playmaker and I want the ball to be in his hands. Luis is a good passer and can facilitate from the high post but I think that we should mostly use him as a finisher.

I've kind of given up on Danny Granger being healthy to be perfectly honest.

That post wasn't an attempt at serious analysis. I just wanted to get the phrase "Manu or" in there to keep the run of puns going.

@CandaceDBuckner: #Pacers abt to fly the friendly skies to NYC. As of 40 mins ago when I spoke to Vogel, he wasn't sure if F Danny Granger would make the trip

@CandaceDBuckner: History would dictate that 'yes,' Granger will make the trip as he hasn't missed any of the others but he's still dealing with calf soreness

@ScottAgness: No, and he wasn’t out there when media was let in. Still sore, Vogel said. RT @reeb1011: @ScottAgness did @dgranger33 practice today?

Not sure if the Pacers can beat the Heat without Granger. This blows.
What would make you think that. They almost did last year with an absolutely horrible bench. It is much improved this year.
