I've done plenty of scans since all this stuff popped up and everything's come up clean. so either it's something really under the radar or it's a false positive because of vbulletin, I assume the latter.

just don't go posting your social security number.

Getting malware warnings from Firefox, Avast, and now even my Kindle. False positives or not, it should not be like this. Please look further into it. My Kindle has no security software (no need on Android), and yet it still warns me -- perhaps it's only the browser.

it is. able's been running PD for what, like a decade? it's his (not PD obviously, but you're an IT guy right?) job, the guy knows what he's doing. he's not about to knowingly infect a bunch of Pacers fans. this is a vbulletin thing that became a false non-updating positive thing. or able's planning to like, take over the all and powerful Indiana, we are the middle finger of the south after all. if we're infecting fanbases we can definitely take votes though. dibs on the Bulls.

I wouldn't dare blame this on/associate it with Abel. Sites are hijacked by third parties from time to time. I know it is in some part browser related, but I'm wondering why Avast has been bonkers about it too. I'm not a tech expert.

Chrome is just fine now and we can finally access the site through that browser.

Anyone accessing the site through Tapatalk with their cell phone? I used to until the malware thing came up. Even though the problem is fixed now, Tapatalk won't access it.

Because Avast is overly paranoid. Its the reason I stopped using them years ago.

Please, go get yourself some security software for your Kindle. AVG makes a decent free anti-virus for Android devices. Don't be like Apple fanatics and think you are safe because you don't use Windows, because you aren't. The mobile platforms are the next big malware target, and its already starting overseas. Only a matter of time before it becomes more prevalent in the US.

    Same here. Thanks Able!
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

I appreciate the advice, but there are fundamental differences which make Android (and iOS) more secure than Windows -- although 7 is pretty secure in my experience. Not that any OS is completely secure. I definitely agree that it will become a bigger problem in the future, because -- well -- money. But iOS has been immensely popular for years now in the mobile market, and the truth is the most likely way of getting malware is if the user unknowingly installs it himself. I've debated the issue a lot, because I'm paranoid (which is probably why I use Avast) when it comes to computer security. Most mobile users agree there is no need to drain precious battery life through security software, so I've come to the same conclusion -- at least for now. I may regret not taking your advise, though.

And here, my PC and favorite PD browsing platform, no bad signs appear anymore. Thanks, all.

Plumlee reminds me of a young Dale Davis. Good rebounding and he contests shots well on defense and his offensive game is very raw just like DD's was coming out of college.

Don't think there is something able or someone else can do about it. Maybe it will fix itself or something. It's worrying though that the site is off the suspect list and working fine but Tapatalk is still a no go
