    Default Nice defensive stat.

Through 5 games, the Detroit Pistons have put up the most points on the Pacers in a game with 91.

The team with the second best PPG allowed in the NBA is the Celtics. They have allowed an average of 93.4 PPG.

On our worst game defensively this year, we were still better than the average of every other NBA team. That is crazy. Very small sample, but still crazy.

To pile on, I like to look at OFF EFF and DEF EFF when judging a team's scoring/defense, and we are far and away in 1st place in DEF EFF (points allowed per 100 possessions) at 85.6. Second place is Golden State at 90.6, and third place jumps to 94.5 (Orlando).

After last night, we're tied with Sacramento for 16th place on OFF EFF, by the way. Moving up.

    And our opponents are averaging a FG% against us of .375 (we're shooting .451). .318 from 3, .390 from 2.

We're kicking all kinds of *** defensively.

    Hah!

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

With Paul George & Roy Hibbert on the floor, the Pacers are allowing just 75.1 points per 100 possessions

Roy Hibbert is giving up only .25 PPP when posted up. Small sample size so far, but that is excellent.
