Wait....did Mahinmi really sprain his ankle? Did I miss something?
    Yes.
Despite receiving Gray Gargoyle's Hands of Stone.....Mahinmi has been able to protect the paint and do a fairly decent impression of Hibbert ( on the defensive side ) when Hibbert got into Foul Trouble and get some rest.

I hope that Mahinmi won't miss any time....cuz I'm not going to look forward to a 6'9" Frontcourt lineup that just screams "drive to the hoop and attack the basket". Hopefully, everyone will just collapse to the paint and hope that we can force bad shots.

Best start in NBA history. I wonder what the bestt ABA start is.
It looks like 5-0 was the best start in the ABA as well. They lost their 6th game in 1971-72 to the Dallas Chaparrals at the Old Coliseum. I believe if we win on Friday night...that will be the best start ever in franchise history...NBA or ABA.

They were 6-0 in 70-71. That's the record.

The NBA's last unbeaten team is 5-0 for the first time in Indiana's NBA history. Indiana can tie its franchise record, 6-0 set by the 1970-71 ABA powerhouse, when Toronto visits Friday night.

Honestly, I was thinking the same.

I'm being superstitious as well....I usually wear some type of Pacer gear while watching the games.....but I haven't worn any this season.

Thanks for the correction. Looks like they played some long road trips back in the day. The Pacers first loss that year came in the middle of a 6 game road trip. Later in the season they played 9 out of 10 on the road.

Holy Moly what a game that was tonight, there were still alot of Bulls fans there and they were quite vocal and getting their chants on, but I was happy to see it was around 80/20.

Tony Brothers has to be one of the worst officials in the game, and he hates the Pacers. I mean my god some of those calls, did this guy write his own version of the NBA rule book? The Free throw attempts were so skewed. Honestly that was the only reason the Bulls were even in the game and leading. They have double our FTA for most of the game. This would have been a blow out much earlier.

So glad to see Lance play through that 1st half collapse, he just looked nervous as hell for this game.

Hibbert served up another 5 smothered chickens.

I can't wait to see them again in Chicago so we can embarrass them on their home court.

This Pacers team is chasing destiny....no, running it down.

Watching Rose panic with Paul guarding him is great to watch. Miami killed Chicago in the playoffs 3 years ago by putting Lebron on Rose.
I will say this....I HATE it when Spolestra does that against any Team ( I remember when they put LeDecision on DC a few years ago )....but now that Vogel does that with PG24 on the opposing Team's Starting PG...color me a hypocrite.

I LOVE PG24 hounding the opposing Team's Starting PGs and disrupting their offense. I think that this is one of the advantages of having Combo-Guards in our lineup....when PG24 guards the opposing PG....we have enough length with GH ( or CJ ) and Lance to move over one spot to the left and defend the SG and SF in the lineup.

I am pretty sure Rose peed himself the first time Paul picked him up at half court and then filtered him towards Roy after a PnR. Good God the Roy/Paul pair plays the most beautiful defense together.

I know that it's early, but I just have a hard time believing that this Bulls team can be as good as it was in 10-11 and 11-12. It just seems like this particular team has already peaked. Of course, a huge reason for that is that Rose is nowhere near the player he was back then for obvious reasons. They played pretty hard tonight, but we were just too much for them. Granted, it could be a far different ballgame when we play them in Chicago on November 16, but I like our chances in a series against them.

That's why Miami waxed them so easily in the 2011 Conference Finals. Lebron smothered him, and that was when Rose was at his MVP peak. He was helpless with Paul on him tonight.

Yeah, I love our chances in a series against them with Paul on Rose.
