Until last night he hadn't played well enough to earn more minutes, as long as he keeps playing like that he will get more minutes.
When you expect the second unit to be a running team with Scola out there, I'd argue that they're misusing him and that's probably the reason why he didn't look good.
Just because you're offended, doesn't mean you're right. ― Ricky Gervais.

What if someone from a school of business or management school were to ask, How did you do this? How did you get the Pacers turned around? Is there a general approach you've taken that can be summarized?

    Larry Bird: Yeah, patience.

Nets fans hate him for this:

He blew that dunk and then the Nets proceeded to blow the game as well.
That's a blooper of a moment for sure, but at least he rebounded the miss and gave his team another chance. You know, a chance to win the game with possession of the ball, up FOURTEEN, with 3:13 left to play. To blame CJ Watson's missed dunk for that collapse... wow.

Bulls fans hate him because in the 11-12 playoffs he shot 24.1% from the floor and 25% from 3.
That seems like a more reasonable reason to be down on a player. Makes me think I should expect something similar in 2014 until he proves me wrong, actually.

I don't know or can't recall: Did the Rockets tend to run with him on the floor? What about the Argentina FIBA teams? I'm wondering if he's asking for this, or if not then surely the coaches are just doing the wrong thing, right?

Scola and running do not compute. He's mobile, but he plays better at a slower pace.

He's always been a cerebral player that needs time to diagnose the defense and set himself up.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

    Scola himself begs to differ:

Ash from Army of Darkness: Good...Bad...I'm the guy with the gun.

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

Well, they are claiming that it changed the momentum. The Bulls went on a 16-2 run after that miss.

CJ's percentages tend to plummet in his playoff appearances. For example, he is a 38% 3 point shooter in the RS but in the playoffs he shooting 23.9% from 3. However, it's important to note that the sample size is small since he has only attempted 46 3 point shots in his playoff appearances.

We will see if that keeps up this year.

    Looking at basketball-reference:

The 07-08 and 08-09 Rockets did not run. They were 21st and 19th in Pace respectively.

The 09-10 and 10-11 Rockets run a lot. They were 6th and 8th in Pace respectively.

The 11-12 Rockets were 11th in Pace.

Last year's Suns were 9th in Pace but Scola wasn't a good fit there.

I thought of this when CJ made the decision not to dunk tonight.
"We've got to be very clear about this. We don't want our players hanging around with murderers," said Larry Bird, Pacers president.
