One of the coolest things about last night, the entire lower bowl was standing almost the whole 4th quarter. On a Wednesday. In November.

Everything points to a loss on Saturday night in Brooklyn. 4th game in 5 nights, on the road against a really good team. It's going to be tough. But with this team, you'd be crazy to count them out.
A Bulls poster(one of those fans of rival team that could fit in here) made a comment that he noticed how much better our fans were this year. He proceeding by saying "good for them" or something along those lines and that we deserve a crowd like that. Nice to hear that stuff coming from a Bulls fan.

I just think CJ is doing exactly what he's supposed to do. He's always been a fantastic stop gap starter. He doesn't get in the way, he runs the offense and he stays out of the way. Is Watson ever going to win us a game like Hill helped do in New Orleans though? No he's not and to me that's why Hill is better.
Right, but I just think getting out of the other 4 guys' way could be exactly what we need at this point. Between Lance, Paul, David, and Roy... I think what CJ brings is exactly what's best for them. Yes, Hill is a better individual player, of course, but at the same time he has certain flaws that CJ doesn't (taking too long to make decisions, over-dribbling sometimes, and not as quick on D) and those flaws take away from the other 4, too.

Do we need more athleticism at the point, though?

I'm just enjoying that CJ seems to me to be quicker. Quicker on D, quicker at making decisions, quicker pushing the ball up the floor to set up the offense.
Honestly, I think I prefer CJ through 3 quarters. He takes care of the ball, still manages to get others involved, and can hit the shots needed to spread the floor.

Now, come 4th quarter, Hill can turn his game up a few notches and make some HUGE shots. That being said, he is also capable of just making lazy passes and turning the ball over in key situations as well.

Are we actually discussing benching Hill for Watson right now? Or are we just saying we really like CJ?

I don't know if thats true. CJ has been excellent.

I asked people on RealGM why Watson hasn't really stuck with a team. Apparently by the end of the playoffs Nets fans hated him. I can't see why, someone referenced a very poor playoffs, but still.

Think we are just comparing their games with the rest of the team more so than saying one should be benched or one should start.

I (would have) voted for Roy. +31 and five blocks!

I know many of you love Mark Boyle but I have decided I prefer listening to the opposing radio guys' despair. Really fun listening to the Bulls guys crying tonight.

I don't know how anyone else feels, but I haven't found myself disappointed in Scola's defense at all this season.

Sure there has been a time or 2 where he has gotten beat, but because of how good everyone else is defensively, he seems to fit in. The effort, intensity, and heart from Scola is just fun to watch.
We run a reasonably intricate team defense, and during the preseason he was still learning the rotations. Since the season started, though, he's consistently been in the right place at the right time. He's not Paul George, but I don't worry about him on defense. He's definitely not the sieve I expected.

The disturbing thing about the Bulls hasn't been Rose. It's been Deng and Noah. They are not moving well at all.

Rose at least still plays like he used to. You can attribute his struggles to 18 months of rust. The other two look like they've aged ten years.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

Noah wasn't playing with any intensity or energy last night. It was weird.

People hated him in Brooklyn because he didn't play that well, I don't blame him though that system was s*** last year, I'm glad he sucked or we would have never been able to get him I actually thought he was gone forever.

By "gone" I mean gone from our radar or chance to get him.

The good people of Brooklyn also thoroughly enjoyed the Gerald Green experience. So there's that.

FWIW, I think this is a team where "starter" is a loose definition for a few positions. So much luxury with rotations, minutes. Maybe Watson likes a matchup with Watson starting, but Hill exploiting a weaker PG off the bench on the offensive side.

Not saying it's likely/will happen. Just saying, outside of PG24 & Hibbert, minutes can be really variable in this team, and "starter" designation won't always connote what it does with other teams/players.

I doubt that. I think the Nets are exponentially popular now that they have the Brooklyn name and hip new branding. People who would have never cared about them when they were in NJ are now interested.

The Nets had like a 75% attendance rate even when Kidd was taking that team to the Finals. No one ever cared.

Just checking in. What a great win against the Bulls. My favorite thing to do after we defeat the Bulls... read their realgm board. And my-oh-my is it tasty today. I'm not sure there are enough emoticons to display my pleasure and one more
