Is Sloan better than DJ Augustin??
If turner beats out hill and mahinmi in camp then fine, but odds of that happening are slim.
One of the coolest things about last night, the entire lower bowl was standing almost the whole 4th quarter. On a Wednesday. In November.
Everything points to a loss on Saturday night in Brooklyn. 4th game in 5 nights, on the road against a really good team. It's going to be tough. But with this team, you'd be crazy to count them out.
Scola's 4th quarter efforts were huge for that run we had
It's just amazing how we rip people's throats out now if they give us the chance. We are a finely tuned machine at this point.
Still my only complaint is Scola needs more touches during those second quarter bench runs. I think that would put a stop to these droughts.
Tonight, all flags must burn, in place of steeples.
Autonomy must return into the hands of the people.
Watson is better that DJ and Sloan is better than DJ. All three guards are better than DJ. And then you add Scola
and this bench is so much better than last year it is hard to fathom the improvement. The offense, production wise is much better because the starting five are the same and the bench is greatly improved.
Big Roy denied the Bulls and the game changed.
Frank Vogel says "Killer instinct, start strong, build a lead and then step on their throats."
More Paul George on Bulls: "Their success is the Michael Jordan era. This is a new age, this is a new team. It's ours till they take it."
"We've got to be very clear about this. We don't want our players hanging around with murderers," said Larry Bird, Pacers president.
I was really happy with CJ Watson's activity on defense. Did as well as could be expected chasing guys around screens, was good about denying passes to his man off-ball, just really nice to see. He might be better at that than George Hill.
I don't know how anyone else feels, but I haven't found myself disappointed in Scola's defense at all this season.
Sure there has been a time or 2 where he has gotten beat, but because of how good everyone else is defensively, he seems to fit in. The effort, intensity, and heart from Scola is just fun to watch.
Damn, it feels good to finally have a team like this.
Stop quoting people I have on ignore!
Hmmm, I dunno, I think there is still a pretty big difference. CJ is obviously still very good, but I think Hill gives us a little bit more athleticism, plus he's just more familiar with the other 4 guys. Regardless, picking up CJ was absolutely the correct move.
I'm not saying it's right, but journeyman habits die hard.
This space for rent.
Do we need more athleticism at the point, though?
I'm just enjoying that CJ seems to me to be quicker. Quicker on D, quicker at making decisions, quicker pushing the ball up the floor to set up the offense.
