Roy, Lance, CJ and West are all having a tough time. It will be interesting how the second half goes.

Yeah Frank let them get back into it, Paul was on the bench way too long, now you probably have to play him almost all 24 minutes of 2nd half.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

Objectively, the first shot was accidental. The follow-up 2 seconds after the pass was a no-doubter.

The difference in the mentality of the Pistons before and after that call has been night and day. They are playing physical, angry basketball now. They looked passive and intimidated in the first 18 minutes.
agreed I guess, I'd have to pay more attention to Pistsons players to say for sure. I'm just saying there's no way in hell that was a flagrant, they thought they saw something they didn't.

Paul is on fire at the end of the first quarter and sits for eight game minutes and is ice cold and completely out of rhythm when he comes back in.

BUT AT LEAST HE IS RESTED!!!

You guys are aware we are playing 5 games in 7 nights. The players do have to rest every once in awhile.

The only thing I can think of is that it was unnecessary, because Singler had already passed the ball when Stephenson hit him. I didn't think it was a flagrant, FWIW.

OK this will probably get modded. BUT SHUT UP. You've posted the same thing like 6 times. We have 5 games in 7 nights. We can go 100% tonight, but that could cause us to lose multiple games down the road from exhaustion. These games exist in a vacuum for us. Not for him or the players.

I don't mind Paul George resting but I didn't like the whole bench unit playing at the same time, you can't have Sloan+OJ+Hill playing at the same you just can't.

Could we execute at the end of a half just for the hell of it ONCE
We have executed at the end of quarters more than once this season.

    You are right.

Lets just play the third string and take a loss now so we might be able to win next time.

...or you know, might sound crazy, but we could maybe just play to win every game...if by the 5th game we are tired and look poor, thats understandable. Giving away a game is not.

I will never understand why our starters can't play with our backups for an extended period of time. Scola should be able to play with Hibbert, and Hill (Watson tonight) should be able to play with OJ, and so on.

The thing is, unnecessary and intentional contact to the face is by definition a flagrant.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

This quote is from Uncle Buck in a different thread. IMO, it's what Vogel was thinking in that quarter. Which means I agree with your post.

"But let me also say though that you do not and really cannot play these games like playoff games. You simply cannot prepare for regular season games like you can for playoff games - no time. Plus I don't want West, Hibbert and George Hill playing 40 minutes like they would in the playoffs.

Also the regular season should be used to prepare for the playoffs, that means developing your bench, developing player roles, allowing the team to sometimes figure things out on their own. So in the regular season you are trying to win every game, but also trying to build your team to be ready for the playoffs. In the playoffs you only care about winning. There is a difference."

But isn't that the point of the bench? To let them hold their own?

To be fair, our Bench should have been better than that.

Thats not how the human body works. But that might be too complicated for you. So I'll just join in with your mindless bashing. And I can't help but read your posts, your flooding the topic with Anti Vogel statements.

Don't just post the same thing over and over again.

I don't care how long the starters where on the bench, it wasn't Frank's fault they came out and sucked it up for the final four minutes of the half. That is on the players, not the coach.
