Default Unable to visit our forum without Avast stating theres an HTML virus?

Avast completely blocks this forum and alerts me of a virus situation every time i visit...I have to turn off my antivirus to browse here

same thing happened to me, had to whitelist the site. done a ton of scans since with a variety of programs and no infection's found, false positive from the preseason vbulletin problem it seems like. hopefully.

I have 2 computers, one with Kaspersky pure and the other with trend. Both give a virus blocking alert every time I open the site or change between threads. It's been this way for a few weeks now.

it is a false positive for an iframe, meaning something someone posted, which most likely never got seen because it did not come through the moderation or filters, but it may be somewhere, nothing I can find and I did quite a few searches

An iframe suggests a post, a signature, or something in the styles/template.

Hmm. To those of you who had to whitelist: Which PD skin/template do you use? vB4 Default Style (kind of a green color), the PD May 12 Navy, or something else?

I wonder if one of the third-party modifications running on the board has for some reason been flagged?

Could it be related to the member list link being completely borked again?

even the malware gives it a clean bill the "malware" link is not that, but oh well, problem is that the entire 4.2.2 update is a chaos, there are more comments on the vb forums then I want to read and one things is clear, it was a mess to load it, it is a mess as it is.
The "REDIRECT" is the site "last post" thing.u
there's a lot of crap going on with VB and I will look into it at some stage this week, I shut down the memberlist, for now, all I can say is I removed the old one, unpacked a new one from the update package and it is the exact same, so no one played with it.

please keep comments coming, just don't expect miracles overnight, I am very busy

seriously though, is there somewhere we can chip in a few bucks, a paypal account or something? PD gets a good bit of traffic, server costs can't be cheap.

Chrome started blocking the site for me today with a malware warning.

To get here I had to click "advanced" and then "proceed at my own risk"

Any website I've seen that checks websites for malware is giving PD a clean bill of health right now.

And Chrome isn't giving me this message.

Just FYI. I'm not sure what this all means.

I think I found what causes it, and no it is not virus, but the default page after the update was set to the "latest activity" and whilst that page is 100% CLEAN it will still give a false positive on there, so I returned the default to the forum page, I hope that solves the problem for those who encounter it.

I'd be interested to know to who and who and where, since WE (PD) purchased that domain in 2005 to create a site and we still have the domain, sadly no one got anywhere with a site that does justice, despite hard work from for instance Hicks and before that me, to many people promise to produce something and than are never heard of again or create a reason to not create.

I have paid the renewal ever since, and no I don't take contributions.
