Great way to open the season with a solid win!

We played well as a team and really hit the gas in the 4th quarter to pull away with the victory.

I'm gonna add a "Player of the Game" poll in the postgame threads this season when we win.

Love the team...glad that Roy is good...hate to be negative Ned, but we will never get national respect until we get respect at home.

Is this about the fans leaving with 2 minutes to go in a 12 point game on a weeknight?

It's about showing respect to the team that just won you the game while you cheered for the other team and swarmed out before the game is over..ON OPENING DAY

Please stop ****ing complaining. It is annoying and useless. If you want people to stay why don't you go to games and stay until the buzzer every single ****ing game.

I don't complain about others but when I go to a game I always stay til the last buzzer. Basketball, Football, Soccer, or Baseball (last out)

Meh, nothing to see here. Arguably the top player from the state's top college was back for his first pro game. They showed him some appreciative love for his college accomplishments. I think it was a nice gesture. Not much different than how the Colts honored Peyton Manning. As far as fans leaving early, the game was in hand. I don't think people will take the Pacers less serious because of it.

Thankfully Roy is okay, although that did ruin his slim chance of a triple double.

Also our backup power forward hit a jump shot for the first time since 2011.

You know, it's easy to come on a message board and call people names like this when you don't even know them, but is that a fair thing to do? I've met Michael Pointer on several occasions and I think it would be more fair to point out his arrogance. If you'd call him an arrogant, friggin' goober, you'd be right on target.

I do. We sat behind him last night, and he was much more interested in whatever was going on, on facebook or whatever non-sports related websites he was on, but it surely wasn't the game. I would love to have a job where I got to go to sporting events and get paid for it, but it looked like he'd rather send out some pokes than pay attention. Lucky *******.
Just because you're offended, doesn't mean you're right. ― Ricky Gervais.

What if someone from a school of business or management school were to ask, How did you do this? How did you get the Pacers turned around? Is there a general approach you've taken that can be summarized?

    Larry Bird: Yeah, patience.

He rubs me the wrong way on Twitter. Then I read stuff like this and the previous post about the guy and, well, I'm glad he isn't the permanent Pacers beat writer, put it that way.
