Yeah I'm not sure how a first round pick can be so out of shape, I know they compare him to Zbo but man Zbo has always been a beast.
He was hurt. He had a shoulder injury that stopped him from working out for four months during the summer.

To be fair, ZBo was awful his rookie season.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

    Division Champions 1955, 1956, 1988, 1989, 1990, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008

It was a shoulder not a knee or back though, I mean even Blair lost a lot of weight as soon as he got drafted and he was a second round pick.

Anthony Bennett is now working on 30+ career minutes without a basket. He's 0-7.

Not true. He was very good years 3-5 in Portland. Then he fell off the wagon until he landed in Memphis.

Philly is getting destroyed. 66-42 at halftime, and igoudala has 27.

So no wonder the 76ers are fun to watch, they play no defense, and then just run and gun. I think Bulls and Heat lost because they must have been like, "is this team for real", and lost due to confusion of how bad the 76ers really are. Unfortunately, the 76ers have met their counterparts in Warriors, who have better shooters and don't care about playing defense either.

And the Cavs are up 17 at the half on what to this point has looked like a pretty solid TWolves squad. Adelman'll come to his senses and play Hummel and he'll lead em to victory.

All I'm saying is right now Anthony Bennett looks like he ate Victor Oladipo and Ben McLemore instead of being drafted ahead of them.

He injured his shoulder in May and had to miss up to 4 months of basketball activity. That's why he looks like that.

Injuring your shoulder is no excuse to get that much out of game shape. Eat right, and do as much walking/jogging as the trainers will let you. If anything I hear about mature athletes losing weight when they are injured because they lose muscle. Not gain fat.

Mature athlete? He is a 20 years old kid. I mean, he is 3 years younger than me. I'm not going to hold him on such high standards.

Hes paid millions of dollars to be as prepared as possible to help his team. Not to mention having an army of people who are paid to help him be in the best possible shape.

Hes a grown adult. He needs to sit the McDonalds down and stay in shape. Because while he was coasting Oladipo was working his *** off.

How terrible has Bennett been? Him being picked number one is a total disaster, and I cannot believe the scouts whiffed so badly on him. Should Bennett have even been a first rounder or drafted at all? This guy could be worse than Olowakandi and Kwame

Thankfully, Oladipo wasn't injured. My point is that you can expect players coming off of injury to be out of shape.
