This is amazing. Philly is going to give up 70 points in the first half to the Bucks!

I feel sorry for the people who bought a ticket and weren't really aware it was that bad!
Yay, I don't know if we're going back to the play-offs!

Bucks fans must be scares shitless right now. Philly's built an even more terrifying tank than they did.

    They've got a 3.5 game cushion.

Can't imagine what a ticket price is to that game... Philly has a hard enough time selling tickets to games....
"We've got to be very clear about this. We don't want our players hanging around with murderers," said Larry Bird, Pacers president.

Food for thought: Tom Izzo sitting in owner Tom Gores's seat watching the Pistons game tonight.

LOL what is the food for thought for? Izzo isn't going anywhere. If he was going to leave for the NBA he would have already done it. He is going to retire a Spartan IMO.

also on the Giannis block the first one wasn't a block Wroten just missed the layup. The 2nd block still got me off the computer chair and pumped. That kid is going to be something.

I wouldn't put it past Gores (an MSU alum) to hand Izzo a blank check and GM control.

I don't see Izzo leaving MSU ever, even with that offer. Its just not what he wants.

Then that will prove that this Pistons crapfest wasn't all Dumars fault.

I've heard the Izzo rumors, too, and I hope p4e is right.

Not saying I agree with the idea, but Dumars has pretty obviously been removed as GM, and Gores haven't made any attempt to find a new coach or GM yet. That says the guy they want is still working right now.

and yes, it does mean something when Tom Izzo is sitting in the owner's spot during a game.

His phenomenal season at age 35 is definitely one of the more underrated stories of the year.

His 2011 playoff run will always stand as one of the greatest individual postseason performances in modern history. Guy was possessed.

Oh, you're absolutely correct. I wouldn't be surprised if Gores gave that blank check to Izzo. I'd just be disappointed, but I'm used to that with the Pistons by now.

One thing to remember, at least about the coach, is that Gores is paying both Cheeks and Frank to not coach the team. That's part of the reason why I think Loyer is the coach now. He doesn't have to pay Frank next season.

The thing is, he wouldn't be making a push and saving the job for him if he hadn't already floated the idea.

Doesn't explain why Dumars hasn't been let go even though anyone can see he's been stripped of all his authority.

He's a franchise legend, in spite of his utter incompetence the last 5 to 6 years. It's possible Gores wants to try to give him somewhat of a graceful exit. Maybe Dumars will resign, instead of getting fired. Who knows?

****ing Knicks. Pistons lose, and the Knicks can't pull one out at home.

Gores isn't the type for letting sentiment getting in the way of business. Something's up.

Gores is also the type who didn't want to amnesty Ben Gordon because he had a moral problem with it. That's why the Pistons are staring straight at the barrel of "no playoffs, no pick" this season.

He's probably one of the 5 worst owners in the NBA, despite what Jalen Rose said. Of course, since Gores gave $250k to Jalen's charter school, he'll talk him up. If he hires Tom Izzo to be coach and GM, that will confirm it. Stay at State, Tom Izzo. Please.

You already said he's an alum and MSU is off. They probably already knew each other well before this. I'll believe it when I see it, but Izzo is a college lifer IMO if I've ever seen one. He may flirt just like Coach K, but he'll be buried in green.
