Poor defense. When their offense is clicking they can be very good, but if their offense struggles or if they are defended well, the T-Wolves defense just isn't good enough to keep them in games.

Edit: I didn't realize it but I just looked it up after posting paragraph above. The T-Wolves are last in defensive FG %. Won't be more than a .500 team with that

    Also no bench offense.
And in their case the D numbers and the eye-test match up. They look horrible on defense. The number of uncontested / barely contested layups is terrifying.

Absolutely. It starts with their star player allowing 58.3% FG% at the rim and only blocking 13 shots all year so far. Sometimes I wonder how mediocre Love's numbers would look if he spent as much effort on the defensive end of the floor. Even his gaudy rebounding numbers are inflated. According to the new stat tracking data, of his 13.3 rebounds per game, 8.2 are uncontested (no opponent is within 3.5 feet).

Of players playing 30 or more minutes a game and seeing at least 5 attempts at the rim by an opposing player, the Wolves' big men are 1st and 2nd worst at OPP FG%. Pek allows 59% on 6.7 attempts per game and Love allows 58.3% on 9.1. Basically, if you're playing the Wolves, isolate Love and you have roughly a 60 percent chance of scoring.

No reason to believe #Pacers would pursue Andrew Bynum, but keeping him from #Heat wouldn’t be a horrible move.

The user comment from the Heat fan claiming this is from 2006 cracks me up.

It also appears that theres an attempted flop to the right too.

Rubio needs to help them more in the scoring department?
On a side note, he seems he hasn't got better at shooting the ball. He needs that. He's shooting worse than his previous 2 years and his ppg is the lowest as well.

Spoelstra too. He was an assistant at the time but he pushed the HC out of his way to photobomb the .gif

Man, how does this even happen? My pivot foot after receiving a pass hasn't slipped like that since I was ten years old. It's naturally stapled to the ground after years of coaches yelling at me.

Spolstra might want to get back to the fundamentals...

Why bother? It's not like it's enforced on Wade or anything.

Oh and Miami @ Brooklyn Friday is an interesting game...Nets are #8 seed in East now amazingly and longest win streak in NBA, maybe a chance for Miami to drop another game...AND A BATTLE FOR THE BELT!

You mean the same Gerald Green that made on of the worst passes ever yesterday which played a big part in their loss to the Bulls? Don't worry, he's still the same.
yay, we're going back to the play-offs!

Gerald is pretty much the same, just hitting a bit more of those crazy shots he takes, and has the ultra green light.

    Ind -- 1080 min, 155-424 FG's 36.6%, 59-188 Three Point FG's 31.4%... 612 total shot attempts
    Phx -- 921 min, 161-363 FG's 44.4%, 88-229 Three Point FG's 38.4%... 592 total shot attempts

Case of Gerald being more comfortable, taking quite a bit more three's than in Indy, and 36.6% is abysmal...if he was shooting 40% in Phoenix he would be riding the pine.

As far as Gerald Green is concerned, the guy put in the necessary work to bounce back from a poor season last year. That, in addition to a Phoenix system that plays to his strengths, has enabled him to contribute to a winning basketball squad. The Suns don't play through the post; they play through the point guard position, and Bledsoe and Dragic (not to mention all-around better ball movement) has given Green more open shots from the perimeter and more fast break opportunities. He still makes the occasional terrible play, but on the whole he's been a much better player than the one we saw last year.

Good for GG. I know he gets a lot of flak around here, but I'm really happy for him because he could have easily created waves last year getting passed over for guys like OJ. Kept his mouth shut, kept working hard, was rewarded by being traded to a team that needed his services, now he's making the most of it. Good for him.
